Unfortunately, this stay did not meet basic hospitality or cleanliness standards.Check-in required cash payment, and the host sent a representative who did not speak English, despite knowing that English and Arabic were the only language I could communicate in. The representative took the money and left immediately without explaining anything about the apartment. Upon entering the apartment, I found it not cleaned. There were food crumbs, hair on the floors, and very dirty bathrooms. The apartment was clearly not prepared for guests and felt as though someone was living there: items in cabinets were disorganized, personal items were everywhere, the refrigerator had leftover items. The towels provided had an unpleasant smell and did not feel fresh. More concerning was the presence of insects, consistent with plumbing or maintenance issues. This was not a comfortable or hygienic situation, especially for a family stay. I contacted the owner immediately and sent photos. Despite stating she was available at any time, the response was delayed, and my concerns were initially dismissed. A cleaner was offered after check-in, but by then I had already spent over three hours cleaning the apartment myself just to be able to stay — which is not acceptable when renting accommodation. The next day, other apartments were offered, but this was not practical as we were close to check-out, and I had already made significant effort to clean the apartment. During our communication, I felt that my concerns were minimized rather than addressed, and the owner told me that she was experienced in dealing with “unhappy clients,” implying that I was overreacting rather than acknowledging the issues. below is one of her text to me" Madame The apartment has been cleaned and is new and well prepared for your family. Please not drama." I would not recommend this apartment to travelers who expect a clean, organized, and professionally managed stay in Montreux.

Everything was beautiful and well-organized, with all the necessities available. Ms. Zahia welcomed us warmly and insisted on showing us all the nearby shops and facilities, reflecting her generosity and hospitality. The place enjoys a strategic location in the heart of the city, and every detail was thoughtfully considered, including the presence of a bidet shower in the bathroom to cater to the needs of Arab guests.

Outstanding central location on the Lake Walk and shore. In the heart of Montreux with perfect facilities for a family and ensuring comfortable feel.

Challenging for key exchange with extremely kind and compassionate owner but required personnel exchange of information. Payment was challenging due to changes in Switzerland for cash withdrawals of limits to 250 Swiss Francs. Did not have credit card payment setup at time.

Amazing location, convenient walk to the Christmas markets, supermarkets and shops. Suzi was an amazing host and no issues with check in. Bus stop is right outside the apartment. Apartment was cosy though it can get cold in the bedrooms.

Facilities mentioned that apartments had washing machine but ours didn't have. Had to pay extra for washing at the basement. This unit is on the low floor, view is not as exceptional. Some bedrooms did not have heating facilities and floor is marble.

Very nice and complete apartment at an excellent location. Great view of the lake from the balcony. Excellent communication with the very friendly host.
