The Chaucer - Modern 3 Bed Home with parking close to city centre

Wir hatten als Familie mit drei Kindern (16, 15 und 12 Jahre) einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut für Familien geeignet und bietet alles, was man für einen komfortablen Urlaub benötigt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die zentrale Lage – die Altstadt von Canterbury ist gut erreichbar, und auch Ausflüge (z. B. nach London) lassen sich von hier aus hervorragend planen. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich mehrere Supermärkte, sodass die Selbstverpflegung (Frühstück und Abendessen) problemlos möglich war. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, inklusive einer Dolce-Gusto-Kaffeemaschine mit bereitgestellten Kapseln – ein schöner zusätzlicher Komfort. Der Wohnbereich ist großzügig und gemütlich, die Schlafzimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und für Familien bestens geeignet. Ein großer Pluspunkt ist der überdachte Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür, der auch für ein größeres Fahrzeug wie unseren VW Sharan problemlos nutzbar war. Das hat die An- und Abreise sehr angenehm gemacht. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin erfolgte ausschließlich per E-Mail und war jederzeit unkompliziert, freundlich und zuverlässig.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the communication was excellent. The property had everything we needed for a short stay in Canterbury and we were delighted with the space. Just a short walk to the supermarkets and city walls. Perfect for us three oldies!

Nothing, apart from a hook on the back of the bathroom doors, perhaps?

I couldn't fault the property - it was exactly as depicted on the Booking.com website. My comments have to be a list of superlatives. The prior communication that we received from Property by Polygon was exceptional as was the continuing communication during our stay to check that everything was OK. The house is inside a small gated community, with secure parking for one vehicle and no more than a 10 minute stroll to the centre of Canterbury. There is a large supermarket within 2 minutes walk. The property managers had 'gone the extra mile' to ensure that the house was extremely well appointed - a fact that my daughter (an experienced Airbnber) wanted me to point out. Clearly a great deal of thought had gone into equipping the house. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean and nicely decorated. If we had an occasion to visit Canterbury again, we would definitely try and book it for our stay.

There were 4 of us staying for a family wedding. Hooks on the back of the bedroom doors would have helped in the management of suit and dress travelling bags. I should add that there was plenty of wardrobe space.
