Il Limoneto di Leo

Tutto perfetto. Posto molto curato, posizione ottima. Fuori dal caos ma vicino sia ai paesi etnei da cui partire per le escursioni, sia al mare, a Taormina e a tanti bei posti. Siamo stati due notti in cui il vulcano era attivo e abbiamo fatto tardi in giardino a vederlo "sbuffare": bellissimo. La casa è curata, c'è tutto quello che serve. La famiglia che vi accoglierà gentile, disponibile e pronta a offrire ottimi consigli su cosa fare e dove andare. Insomma siamo stati benissimo.

Het uitzicht. Vlakbij de Etna. Heb mooie erupties mogen bewonderen. Maar ook het zicht over het dal de dorpen en de zee was prachtig. Vooral bij zonsopkomst heb je prachtige plaatjes. Het huisje was schoon en van alles voorzien. Ook reageerde de eigenaar altijd meteen op berichtjes. Het contact was fijn.

Het water is niet continu warm. En regelmatig douche je met lauw tot koud water. De airco was in de keuken geplaatst. Niet handig want de slaapkamer was extreem warm. Gelukkig kregen wij er een ventilator bij, maar het dekte de lading niet echt. Wij zaten aan de voorkant, dus je hoorde mensen s'avonds laat thuis komen en sochtends vroeg weer weg gaan. De eerste week hadden we zeer luidruchtige buren die ook nog eens dagelijks vele anderen uitnodigden. Hierdoor was de parkeerplaats vaak vol als wij thuis kwamen van een dagtrip en moesten we genoodzaakt de auto voor onze slaapkamer zetten buiten. Gelukkig waren ze na 1 week weg en hadden we daar allemaal geen last meer van. Als je een auto hebt van 900 cc zoals wij hadden, is het moeilijk de berg op te komen. Ook moet je gewend zijn om zulke bochten en alles te kunnen rijden. Het gebied eromheen is niet overal verlicht en dus beat gevaarlijk met die haarspeldbochten.

La casa è pulitissima ed estremamente confortevole,, non manca niente. La posizione è perfetta per visitare l'Etna, Taormina, le Gole d'Alcantara, tutti i magnifici paesi etnei, Siracusa, la valle dei Templi... Insomma è in una zona strategica se si dispone di un mezzo proprio (i trasporti pubblici in Sicilia non sono il massimo), ma allo stesso tempo molto tranquilla e silenziosa, oltre che fresca. Dalla casa è possibile ammirare l'Etna in attività, il mare, Taormina e il mare di Fondachello che è a 10 minuti di distanza. La piscina presente è il tocco finale per il relax dopo una giornata di gite. Io lo consiglio assolutamente! Ho trovato davvero gentilezza ed accoglienza.

Very kind host, the location has everything you need. The view of Etna and the sea is superb. The lemon grove around the accommodation is very pleasant. The swimming pool is a big plus, especially for children, and you have shaded parking.

There are a few things that are not related to the location itself. The access road to the location is narrower and more difficult to navigate, and next to the accommodation there is a construction site that starts noisy in the morning. To be able to rest well you have to close the windows and turn on the air conditioning until morning. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear almost everything from the neighbors staying next door, and the window in our kitchen had a view of the neighbors' terrace who were using it, which was strange and I always kept the curtain drawn, but in the end it's not really that annoying.
