Araliya Red - Budget friendly Hotel- Where you find stunning 360 panoramic view of Nuwara Eliya

Excellent staff, delicious food and good spread . very clean hotel with human touch. I must mention Chef Priyantha, Khan and Fom Kelum went out of the way to make our stay memorable. Big thank you to Group GM Dinesh for making this experience.

Road is narrow, sometimes it’s difficult two vehicles to cross.

The property is centrally located. Rooms are spacious Food is amazing

Room service is bad Certain basic toiletries like bathroom slippers, toothbrush toothpaste etc were not available. Coffee satchels were kept bare minimum. Water bottles if asked extra we were questioned about our heck out date Not professional for a 3-4 star property to speak like this

The bedroom was clean and large, with very comfortable good sized bed. Staff were kind and attentive, special mention to be given to Shanu in the dining hall. My daughter has a severe nut allergy and it is therefore very dangerous for her to consume food containing nuts and sesame seeds and oil. Shanu had discussions with the chefs, and very kindly showed her exactly which foods to avoid. The buffet incidentally was excellent, an enormous variety of foods to choose from, and expertly prepared.

Just a matter of taste really. I found the hotel to be large and soulless, not my type of decor I suppose. Our room was on the 6th floor, there were definitely quite a lot of scraping sounds from the restaurant above. À la carte restaurant not really open, all to be offered was a rather poor pizza for our first evening meal.

Liked the room size and heated pool in the hotel

The food was appalling except the dessert , we had only 1 meal and decided that we would eat elsewhere in the city,for the next 2 days . Many guests were complaining about the distasteful food and general attitude of staff who were very polite but clueless .The staff didn’t even welcome us when we arrived , they checked us into a room that was not vacant , room wasn’t cleaned while we were out ,poor restaurant food and overall lack of ambiance! The management charged us unnecessary tax (17000 SLR )at arrival although we had booked the hotel through booking.com . We were then asked to pay for a very uncomfortable extra bed which we didn’t even ask for . Overall a very pompous looking hotel with no real amnesties or value for money,we had to look for other hotels at the end.
