Escape to crystal clear Silver Lake!

Great location, great lake, great host, great provisions. Overall, I recommend it, but there are a few issues to be aware of. 1) used the oven shortly after arrival and all of the smoke detectors went off - I had to clean oven in order for it to be used. 2) deck and stairs to lake are extremely slippery when wet - the lack of maintenance (washing) is apparent due to presence of algae film on these surfaces when wet. 3) there is a triangle portion of the dock that is a trap door - it looks like you should be able to walk on it, but don't.

Everything was great. No complaints whatsoever. Our family plans to return next year.

We had a wonder stay! House was perfect for our multi-family get together. Home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed playing games around the large kitchen table. We really enjoyed the fireplace on the snowy mornings. One thing to keep in mind is that the loft sleeping is an open area and could be noisy if others are doing things in the living room or kitchen. The host left us a welcome gift which was a nice treat. Host was also very responsive to our questions during our stay. The one thing we did not like was that all towels were to be washed and in the drier before we left. This made it a bit tricky to wash hands before leaving.

This was the fourth annual fall trip to this gorgeous property for myself and "the boys" (we're all in our mid-70's). It's so clean and comfortable that we just can't stop coming back, and once here it has everything we need. Also, Kent is the world's most accessible and accommodating host. We are so happy to have found this spot!
