About this apartment rental
Description:
This completely renovated 2-room apartment is located in the quiet "Wohnstift" residential complex, right next to the monastery garden of the Benedictine Abbey of Tholey at the foot of the Schaumberg. You’ll stay in a cozy and modernly furnished 56 m² vacation apartment featuring 1 bedroom, 1 living room/bedroom, 1 kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The abbey church—featuring windows designed by artist Gerhard Richter—the monastery garden, numerous shops (bakery, Aldi, Lidl, EDEKA, dm, Kik, pharmacy, etc.), and restaurants are all within a few minutes’ walk.
The apartment features a cozy garden with a terrace and barbecue facilities. A private parking space is located directly in front of the apartment.
Wi-Fi available!
In the evening, enjoy the view of the illuminated church spire and the changing colors of the Schaumberg Tower, which towers over the Saarland’s local mountain.
We highly recommend hiking from the apartment up to the Schaumberg, visiting the exhibitions there, and stopping for a break at the Schaumberg-Alm. The Bostalsee Recreation Center is about 10 km away, the St. Wendel Golf Course is 7 km away, and the Schaumberg Water Park is 1 km away. There are numerous bike trails and premium hiking trails winding through the lush, beautiful countryside. For day trips to the surrounding area—such as the Saar Loop, Trier, Luxembourg, the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site, and much more—the vacation apartment is also the ideal starting point thanks to the highway access just 3 km away.
Smoking in the apartment and pets are not permitted.

Wir haben zu dritt (zwei Erwachsene und ein elfjähriges Kind) ein verlängertes Wochenende in der schön eingerichteten Wohnung verbracht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und nichts vermisst.
