The Cart House

Great property in a good location for seeing many parts of Cornwall. Lovely barn conversion with absolutely everything one needs.

The directions on how to find the property could be improved and the track should be mentioned in the details as it is rough and not everyone would like driving along it. (Eg if you had a car with a low exhaust you might have an issue!) I would suggest the pillows need upgrading and a patio with a dining table and chairs would have been nice. We had to clean the existing garden furniture as they were covered in cobwebs, leaves and bird mess. And we had to remove two lots of dog mess next to the garden furniture which wasn’t great.

Beautifully renovated barn. Great shower. Very relaxing place. Lovely welcome pack, much appreciated. Owners very helpful. Comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms. Very peaceful and off the beaten track. Nearest shops were quite far off, but no problem if you have a car. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped. Shower was amazing with lovely hot water. Unfortunately did not get to meet our hosts but they were very helpful via email and phone chats. The cottage is next to farm and we had daily visits from Trevor the peacock which was an unusual treat. Our dog was slightly agitated when he was around. The hosts provided an extremely good welcome pack with good quality produce. Despite the poor weather we were out everyday and visited all the local beaches ie Perranporth, Fistral, Par and others. We ate at the local pub The Crown Inn where delicious food was served. We will definitely be visiting again
