Nice place not far from some of the highlights of the Eifel region

Pleasant and comfy stay in an ideal location, great value for money

We had a pleasant stay at the studio. The quality of furniture and appliances were very high (nice big comfy couch for example), it had a great location to do day trips around the Eifel (to places such as Monschau or Vogelsang), and was situated in a very quiet village in the countryside. There’s a little camping cafe nearby (10-15 minute walk) which offers pizza’s, flammkuchen and simple dishes. There’s a lovely fireplace which is no doubt very cosy in winter. There’s also a big TV which you can stream to (although it would have been nice if the tv stand could rotate so as to be able to watch it more comfortably from the wonderful couch!) The mattress on the bed was perhaps a bit unsupportive/soft (as it did not have springs), but it was fine for us. The studio is accessed by several steps from the driveway. We didn’t mind this but it may be good to be aware of if you are travelling with others who struggle with stairs. There is also no oven or microwave.

Unfortunately there were construction works ongoing during our stay. The construction didn’t cause any noise, but there was a crane parked right outside of the living room window which obscured the view of the countryside and forest from the apartment and balcony. It wasn’t too bothersome, but it would have been nice to be informed beforehand and it did somewhat diminish the experience. It was somewhat inconvenient that the bed in the studio could only be entered by the footends rather than from the side. This wasn’t fully clear from the photos or floor plan. The curtains don’t block out much light in the mornings, and there is only a glass door between the living room and bedroom. Unfortunately there aren’t any outdoor roller blinds as is usually the case for many homes in Germany. The studio is located on the ground floor of the property. There is another holiday apartment on the top floor for a larger group. Unfortunately the sound isolation between the two apartments leaves something to be desired - we could hear whenever the upstairs neighbours used the stairs, moved their chairs, or walked around. Thankfully the upstairs neighbours were considerate so the noise didn’t continue during the nighttime! All in all, none of these points were dealbreakers and the studio offers great value for money in an ideal location if you are visiting the Eifel.

Great apartment, good stay for small and big groups

The property was very big and spacious. All necessary facilities were there and the sauna was great. Outside there was a balcony where we could relax after a day of hiking. The area has great hiking trails and more at a driving distance.

There was a wasp nest outside, but the wasps were mostly harmless. We reported it to the property owners and they were very quick to respond and pay us a visit.

Super nice Holiday apartment in Eifel

This is one of the best holiday apartment we have stayed. The apartment is well furnished with quality work. Two separate bathrooms (showers), big size, good size of bedrooms, sauna is very easy to use. Big TV. The host is really nice to leave 2 bottles of wine to welcome us. The best part is the kitchen, full equipped, and well functioned. a quality kitchen. Maybe a microwave is handy, but no big issue. We did not see the host, but if we send a message, we get response quite quick. everything is efficiently arranged.

The parking is bit challenge, we stay at number 5, park the car in front the apartment, but drive hill down and reverse up. but not a showstopper. We really like the apartment and if you like hiking, this is definitely a good place.

Amazing stay at Rurtal de Luxe!

We had an amazing stay at Rurtal de Luxe! We stayed in the studio (nr. 8), which is on the lower deck. It has a very spacious terrace with seating area and the view is phenomenal! The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. A nice shower, lots of storage room and very well-equipped! Everything you might possibly need is available. The kitchen even has a dishwasher! We also really appreciated the thoughtful details that the owners provided; a bottle of wine upon arrival, some coffee cups to get you started, blankets to snuggle under on the couch. They really make an effort and it shows! We would definitely stay here again. Also the parking is easy and on property. And the surrounding area is great for hikes and outdoor walks. We really liked route 66 - Haaserott-Runde. And there are a lot of other beautiful nature parks nearby.

There isn't really anything that was disappointing about this stay, but if I have to mention something.. the bed creaked a bit when turning.

Good walking area and the hosts were friendly and it was very clean

We didn't get the studio in the photo. We had a terrace not a balcony wbich was not private as neighbour walked past and communal washing machine is on our terrace. The apartment was lovely but the terrace looked neglected

Everything. This was the best place ever and we are big travelers. The apartment had everything one needed. Also, a bottle of very nice red wine was waiting for us on the table. top notch cuisine, sauna and utensils

Great location, great hikes in the surroundings.

We liked the apartment, beds were comfortable and sauna was great. Mostly the great location and the hikes in the neighborhood and the surroundings, or a trip to Monschau are great. It's really a nice high-quality place with good views in a great location.

Living room isn't the biggest (for 8 people) and not the coziest. But it's alright. Another comfortable armchair and an extra rug could make things a bit better already. There were very little kitchen utensils (no scissors?) or oven trays or things to use. Only a few glasses, not a lot of cups. Not a super big deal normally, but around Christmas it did cause us to having to buy oven trays.

Stunning location

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was stunning! The kitchen was very well equipped, which made cooking a joy. There was also a smart TV which was handy for cozy evenings watching movies together.

This is a minor point, since we loved our time there, but good for other travellers to be aware of: the connections with public transport were very limited. There is a bus, but it only goes by the place a couple of times a day and not at all in the evenings. So this place is perfect if you have a car, but getting there by public transport is also possible (but not ideal).

High end apartment with all you wish for

Lovely styled and well equipped modern apartment including some spices, some oil and other kitchen materials you might need, but did not bring. Nice and quite at night. New and excellent sauna cabin.

Keep in mind that in winter time wood fires are used at homes, effecting the overall air quality of the valley, when smoke does not blow away (depending weather conditions). Important for astma patients.

Overall pretty views and nice walks - UPDATE: Unprofessional messages from host after stay.

The kitchen was exceptionally equipped and the bathroom was also very nice. The apartment was very clean and the view was great. I would have given this property a much higher rating if it weren't for the few points I mention below.

I didn't like that the curtains didn't pull over in the studio apartment. This made a big impression on my stay and I didn't like the feeling of lack of privacy. I also would have preferred a more secure method for picking up the keys to the apartment - like a secure safe box with a pin. It would also have been nice to have some instructions on how to connect to the wifi, and information on the local area. But the hosts were contactable so all was well. UPDATE: After writing this review we were harassed by the host for giving the property a review of 7 (messages attached in photos). This was very disappointing.

Lovely home, more like house-sitting than vacation home.

The kitchenette, balcony and fireplace were our favorite. The area was relatively quiet, not too much traffic. There were basic kitchen spices, sugar, coffee pods, utensils and food wrap. The reading lights were great. Adjacent footpaths were nice. The cleaning crew was at the neighboring apartment, so we could understand where to find the key....(the booking said there was a lockbox and provided a pin code....though the keys were under the mat). Everything looked new.

There was no way to get in touch with the hosts. The shower drain was plugged and water ran out the bathroom and down the stairs...which we had to clean after every shower. One vanity light in the bathroom was burned out. There were no instructions for the sound system, the booklet said to sync Bluetooth; for the Netflix, the internet supposedly wasn't connected (the error message showed). There were no instructions for the fireplace flue. Sound proofing was not great with our connected neighbor, as well as ventilation for their strong cooking and smoking smells. There was no guest book. With the parking and showers, and other items mentioned, it would be a very difficult stay if all the 4 bedrooms were fully occupied.

Very very pleasant

A modern, spacious and very clean apartment, with a nice view of the valley. The owner is always available for help and questions. A lot of necessities upon arrival were already there, from coffee cups to toilet paper. We felt very welcome.

Fantastisch verblijf in studio 08, we zijn helemaal tot rust gekomen.

Het appartement ligt op een prachtige plek in de heuvels, met werkelijk fenomenaal uitzicht. We konden vanuit het appartement de trails op om uren te genieten van de prachtige paden in de natuur. De toegang tot het appartement was ruim, de sleutel makkelijk te verkrijgen uit het sleutelkluisje. De inrichting van het appartement is ruim, een prachtige badkamer met heerlijk warm water en een volledig ingerichte keuken met meer dan voldoende borden, glazen en pannen. De stoelen en bank in de kamer zitten heerlijk voor uren relaxplezier en de bedden slapen fantastisch, we voelden ons helemaal thuis. Het contact wat we zochten met de verhuurder verliep soepel en vlotjes, dankjewel en tot een volgende keer

Wij hebben geen negatieve punten aan het appartement kunnen ontdekken. Alles was werkelijk goed en overal was aan gedacht. Volgende keer als het wat warmer is, zullen we ook zeker gebruik maken van het ruime terras

Familienurlaub mit Besonderheiten

Sehr schön für einen einen Familienurlaub. Großes Wohn-/Esszimmer. Sehr sauber und Küche ist gut ausgestattet.

Treppen entspricht nicht der Norm und es ist keine Handlauf auf beiden Seiten vorhanden. Für alte Menschen und Kinder Absturzgefahr! Zu wenig Parkplätze am Haus. Alle anderen im Ort waren belegt. Es musste ein Wanderparkplatz in ca. 1,5 km Entfernung genutzt werden.

Een leuk en hoogwaardig afgewerkt appartement waarnaar ik uitkeek naar de houtkachel die er niet was

Kwalitatief een heel hoogwaardige afwerking van het appartement. Communicatie met het verhuurkantoor was correct. Ik kreeg binnen een aanvaardbare tijd telkens een antwoord op mijn vraag.

Ik had gekozen voor Rurtal de luxe omwille van de houtkachel die ik op de foto zag staan. Je moet weten dat ik thuis geen houtkachel heb en ik keek uit om te genieten van directe warmte van de houtkachel. Tot mijn grote verbazing bleek het toegewezen verblijf niet overeen te komen met de foto! Er was helemaal geen houtkachel! Dus voel ik me beetgenomen, eigenlijk is dit boerenbedrog. Het huisje naast ons appartement was niet meer of minder een stort. Een afknapper!

Super Unterkunft zum Entspannen und für Ausflüge in die Natur/Eifel. Moderne Ausstattung - es hat mir an nichts gefehlt. Gastgeber sehr freundlich, immer erreichbar und zuvorkommend. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder :)

Heerlijk verblijf op een mooie locatie. Goede uitvalsbasis voor uitjes met de motor en wandelingen.

De locatie en het huisje was gewoonweg helemaal af. Alles erop en eraan wat je nodig hebt. Incl fles wijn, eerste koffiecapsules, vaatwastabletten, handdoeken en theedoeken/ vaatwassponsje etc opgemaakte bedden.

De trap was wel erg steil en gehorig ( van staal). Jammer dat er geen tuin bij zat maar dat wisten we van tevoren. Voor een 6/8-persoonshuisje jammer dat er maar 1 parkeerplek voorzien was.

Wij hebben ons prima vermaakt

Rustige locatie met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Hier kan je perfect tot rust komen. Je bent heel dichtbij Monschau en er zijn genoeg wandelroutes in de omgeving

Fantastisch verblijf gehad, een aanrader!

Dit appartement staat op een prachtige locatie. Toen we binnen kwamen overtrof dit onze verwachtingen. Een fles wijn met 2 glazen stond op tafel, handdoeken, baddoeken en een theedoek lagen klaar en de bedden waren op gemaakt. Er lagen zelf koffiecups! En ook 3 vaatwastabletten, alles zag er spik en span uit. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug en ik raad het iedereen aan om dit appartement te gaan boeken. Veel te doen in de omgeving en je bent zo in Aken en in Monschau. Kortom een echte aanrader!
