Reetkate Schuby Vacation Cottage

A vacation retreat for families with children of all ages and close friends.

The approximately 250-year-old thatched cottage is located in the small village of Dörphof (part of Schuby).

Driving down a small private road, you’ll pass the village’s largest farmer, with his modern, large open-stall barn for dairy cows (complete with a milk filling station!) and his impressive fleet of vehicles. At the end of the approximately 500-meter-long path, you’ll reach the idyllic setting itself: a small thatched-roof cottage in a secluded location—ideal for guests seeking peace and relaxation. The house is surrounded by meadows and fields; the approximately 2,000-square-meter, unfenced garden features plenty of lawn and mature trees.

The Baltic Sea beach is about 3 km away.

The thatched cottage can accommodate up to 6 people, who have approximately 100 m² of living space at their disposal.

The house features a large living room with a dining area and a fireplace. From the large dining table, you can look out over vast fields where the occasional deer roams.

Two bedrooms are located on the first floor and two on the first floor—each accommodating two people.

Also on the first floor is a small built-in kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The bathroom on the first floor is accessible only through the rear bedroom.

The second, very small bathroom with a shower is located on the first floor. The first floor is accessible via a very steep staircase.

The house is a completely smoke-free zone.

Bed linens and towels are not included in the rental price but can be rented from the vacation service at the Tourist Information Office for a fee of €20 per person.

This 250-year-old thatched cottage offers 100 m² of living space and accommodates 6 people. The house features a living room with a dining area and a fireplace, 2 bedrooms on the first floor and 2 bedrooms on the first floor (each sleeping 2 people), a small built-in kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and toilet on the first floor, and another small bathroom on the first floor. The first floor is accessible only via a steep staircase.

There is also a small, lockable outbuilding on the property for bicycles or similar items. The outbuilding also contains an additional large refrigerator with freezer drawers.

The approximately 2,000 m² property is not fenced and offers a magnificent view over the adjacent fields. Due to its remote location, the house does not have Wi-Fi. Regular cell phone reception is good. There is enough space on the property for 2–3 cars.
