About this house rental
The accommodation is on a hill with a view over the vineyards and the idyllic Megalochori on the island of Santorini in the Aegean. The accommodation is a fabulous refuge for holiday-makers who simply want to relax and absorb the Aegean light, in unique surroundings. The traditional village is not very well-known yet among tourists and so is a hidden gem on the island.
The magnificent manor house is spread over two floors and can accommodate six people. It comprises three separate apartments, two on the ground floor and one on the first floor where is also a living room, an indoors and an outdoors dining area. The two levels of the villa are connected by means of external stairs. The three air-conditioned bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed and have an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed with an open ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. The second bathroom also has a bath and shower, while the third also has a shower. The kitchenettes are well-equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances. Free wireless broadband Internet access is available.
The outdoors area on the ground floor features an enormous courtyard with a garden and an infinity pool with a sun deck made of volcanic rock, where guests can relax on lounge furniture and deckchairs. At night this area is illuminated, offering an unforgettable experience with a fabulous view. On the upper floor there is a big terrace, which is ideal for dining around the grill outside with a great panoramic view over the surrounding landscape.

The excellent location in the little village is a good starting point for getting to know the many places of interest on this unique island, as well as the nearby beaches. It is just 6km to the vibrant town Fira, to get to know the other side of the island. Megalochori is known for its export of Vinsanto wine, which is still produced on the island. The locality also has strong connections with Odessa in Russia and so there are some church bells from Russia. Despite the tourist development, the village has kept its traditional and authentic charm. The cobbled roads free of traffic, the Venetian bell towers and the beautiful main square with chic restaurants are among its special characteristics.
