Great little cottage

We’ve just come back from a wonderful stay at Cherry Tree. It had everything we needed to feel right at home and was in a great location for getting out and about. Everything was clean, well thought out and really comfortable — especially the bed, which was soooo comfy we didn’t want to get up in the mornings! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again.

The pefect retreat

Location was perfect, easy to self check in. On a beautiful countryside estate with lovely walks available. The decor was perfect, so cosy. The bed was very comfortable as well. Honestly was a pleasure to stay at and would stay again.

Honestly, if being picky, wifi range didn't extend to the bedroom but worked in the living room. Genuinely cant fault it.

Decent place but more thought needed if you want people to come back or recommend it to others.

Could have done with a few extras to improve the stay…. Spare toilet rolls recycling bags…(no encouragement to recycle all just dumped in black bag then put in any bin in waste disposal room). Would have been nice to have at least some essentials milk/bread/butter available as we have at other properties.

We would definitely return!!!!

The location was great for lots of different places around the Peaks. The bedroom in particular was really lovely. The hosts were really attentive. The local pubs had amazing food. Oh and we could take our dog with very reasonable rules.

My partner would have liked to have charged his car but charger wouldn’t have reached with the way the other cars had parked. The neighbouring guests who I’m sure would never be welcome there again. Hosts dealt with it really well

Cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings.

The cottage was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We were allowed to bring our dog. The location is prefect for a trip to the Peak District.

Great base and fishing lakes spectacular

Great little place in a quiet rural location. Dog friendly, with safe enclosed rear garden Bathroom newly modernised and beds very comfortable with fresh crisp white linen. Close to local pubs to eat and cafe on the fishing lakes did a fabulous breakfast in a picture perfect setting Fishing fabulous All in all we would recommend this place and give it a 9 out of 10

Only one toilet roll so ran out! Bathroom and furniture in bedroom all newly renovated and lovely…. but carpets and sofa need a wash and windows and frames need a good cleaning to bring up to the same high standard imo.

Lovely village cottage to relax in.

Beautiful village location, with a lovely garden to sit out in and the fisheries to go for a walk around. Good sized kitchen and comfortable lounge area.. All the rooms had large double beds with nice bedding.

One small moan, not enough hooks/rails to hang up wet towels once everyone had taken a shower.

Comfortable quiet rooms on the edge of the Peak District

We stayed in The Nook - Beautiful quiet location, very comfortable bed and chairs, well designed layout gave us plenty of room. Hostess provided excellent directions and information by text, checking in and checking out was easy. We didn't use the cooking facilities but there were plenty of pots and pans for the self caterer.

A lovely setting and layout to have a big family holiday, amid the natural beauty of the Peak District.

Kitchen utensils, pans, dishes & glasses were great & dishwasher proof glasses. Showers were good. When the shower at the Cherry Tree didn’t have hot water the staff attended quickly to fix.

The outdoor wooden railing was very rickety and not very stable with nails coming out in a few places. Also a few of the metal chairs in garden had very loose screws at the side which made them potentially dangerous to use so we left them to one side. There was no screwdriver to fix them ourselves at the property.

The location is excellent. Very comfortable bed and clean bedding and towels.

Very dirty. Crumbs and hairs on sofa. Stained sofa and carpets. Toaster with food splatters on it. Dirty glasses. Very tired and drab. Disappointing

A very sweet little space.

It was a lovely quiet location - the property was lovely and well maintained. The beds were made up beautifully and the little chocolate on the pillow was a delightful little touch. There was adequate kitchen equipment and the bathroom was really lovely too. Can’t fault it at all!

There isn’t really anything I could put a fault to. The ONLY thing was that there were spiders in the corners of the rooms but we don’t mind that really. Little spider friends to keep the flies at bay!

Relaxing break in Peak District in cosy cottage, would happily rebook again.

Location was superb for accessing beautiful Peak District. Super comfy beds which the host was able to change from a double to 2 singles for our visit. Perfect size for our 2 night break

Would have been great if washing machine was available, however this didn't spoil our stay. As the cottage can be used for dog owners I would recommend specific throws to be used on soft furnishings as I have dog allergy. However, the cottage was very clean. Would recommend host supplies enough toilet paper for 2 day visit in price of stay. Kitchen roll would have been nice in kitchen.

Quiet and comfy stay

Beds were super comfy - stayed in the two bedroomed cherry tree Also Shower was fab Decent pubs walking distance from property and walking round the trout lakes with my dog was just gorgeous seeing so much wildlife

Wonderful views and walks, lovely area and definitely hope to return

Location is perfect to explore the Derbyshire Dales and lovely walks, The Lake on the site is beautiful. We stayed in The Nook and it was perfect for us and our 2 labradoodles. Kitchenette was plenty for our needs, bed comfortable, en suite shower room lovely. The Tickled Trout pub / restaurant within 5 mins walk was great for drink / food as was The Peacock at the other end of the village.

After getting a text on the day of arrival stating charges would occur if our dog’s hair was found on the bed or sofa ( yes, it was advertised as pet friendly) we found dust & even some damage in the cottage.

Disappointed compared to the photos.

The garden was full of leaves and a rusty table. No bin in the kitchen, we found it in the garden. Fuse boxes exposed in the bedroom and cobwebs on the light shade. Lovely walks and comfy bed.

Stayed there last month with my teenage son and our family dog. Ticked all the boxes, cosy, clean, lovely setting and overall amazing value for money.
