Beautiful, peaceful location and wonderfully set up for dogs (with a safe little fenced area back and front of the cottage, plus a large, safe dog paddock for exercising).
Nothing the owners could have done about this, but we stayed during a heatwave and the upstairs bedrooms in the eves were exceptionally hot at night. Fans were provided however.

The cottage has been done to a high standard, well equipped, it’s a beautiful spot looking out across the fields with great woodland walks only a couple hundred meters down the road.
The only bit that we didn’t like so much was having the dog exercise areas separate from the cottage, would have been lovely to have the little corner section of grass by the cottage within the cottage fence so that the dog would lie out out the grass while we were sitting in the sunshine.

There was nothing to dislike about the horseshoe. It is absolutely perfect in every way. The hosts were amazing. Would definitely recommend this property 🙏

great setting. peaceful. Surrounded by serene countryside. spent our time in the Forest of Dean both locally and further afield. Rambling through the forest and numerous public footpaths was great fun.
