Shoshone 1913

The location was just wonderful. The place was very nice and comfortable. I appreciated the dishwasher tablets in the apartment. Other people left washer pods, spray oil, spices, salt, ziploc bags, tinfoil, etc. Parking for our car was easy but not quite as close. But no big deal. There were humidifiers and some extra blankets and pillows in the apartment. It was an easy short walk to get out to the slopes (maybe 10 mins?). The Exchange in the resort was a short walk from our building. We could bring our own food and eat in the hallways, buy food at any of the many places if we wanted, or just go back to our apartment for lunch. The Exchange also had a great little market that allowed us to buy extra food that we didn’t bring with us. Prices at the market were really pretty good.

We didn’t want to pay the high cost of leaving our skis at the valet/storage in Shoshone, and so we brought our skis back to the apartment every night. No big deal. But I wish there was a tiled area by the front door or maybe a rubber mat so that all of the melted snow wouldn’t just go into the carpet. Most of the time we put our boots and skis either by the tile by the fireplace or the tiled area by the window. It just would’ve been nice if the stuff could’ve been left by the front door. I wish there was a 9x13 pan in the kitchen. There are a few missing pieces of things here and there. Again. Not too big a deal. It would be nice if the owner could just go through and see what needs to be replaced. One thing that has more to do with the building and may not be able to be fixed: some evenings the bedroom was “hot” and the area in the living room where the Murphy bed was located when set up was “cold”.

Communication was tedious and sometimes difficult. We don’t really like having to go through property manager when we book a room through Booking.com. It makes communication so much more complicated. Also the front desk could not help us with anything since we were booked through Vacasa. It took us half an hour to find and get into the laundry facility because of this.

we find the oversized couch and chairs in the Shoshone property to be uncomfortable

We arrived to old food on the counter, dirty dishes filled the sink, wet towels on the floor, and the beds had been slept in and not cleaned.
