Good location, lobe ambience.

Despite reserving parking 6 months in advance and being given a reserved parking pass, there was no parking spot for us the first night. Creating a really stressful and frustrating experience. Blamed other guests that didn't have a reserved parking pass for parking in our spot, but didn't actually take action to rectify or even arbor to compensate for the stress.

Clean, stylish rooms with a comfortable bed and quality amenities. Great location to Kingsland and Grey Lynn and easy access to the motorway.

The rooms can be quite chilly in winter. The small wall heater doesn't provide enough warmth for rooms which have very high ceilings and an older building construction.

What breakfast? we weren't given any information about a breakfast being included.

We booked two rooms, but were told after we'd arrived and parked in the carpark for hotel guests, that we hadn't been given a carpark. I hadn't seen anything when I booked on line that said I had to separately book a carpark. The hotel info I saw and received talked about a hotel carpark. and two rooms - I would have thought that we should have been given one.

Fun, different and very good location.

This is a converted convent where the history of the building is evident even though the level of comfort far exceeds what was originally there. It was fun to speculate about the rooms and the former occupants. The artwork is eclectic with religious items mixed along with south Asian influences, a fun mixture and certainly added to the ambience.

It is a converted convent, so our room was rather tight! I think we had one of the smallest rooms, but the others we saw were more spacious.

Such a unique place to stay. It really was a convent many years ago. They have kept the charm of this lovely old building. With a modern twist on the amenties. Bonus addition is the onsite restaurant Ada. Had an expectional meal there, would love come back next time we stay in the area.

Its perfect for us as a romantic getaway or when we have something on in the city as we live outskirts of Auckland. we loved it - and the ADA resto is fabulous. Wed def recommend and we will be staying many more times.

Great Location - Amazing Decor!

The decor in the entire hotel is beautiful! We both loved the nods to the convent. The room was small but well appointed. The reception staff were friendly, professional and informative.

We stayed on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and was a little on the noisey side until around 11pm.

We loved our stay at The Convent Hotel! The staff were fantastic - we were given an extra key, a vase for our flowers and a fascinating talk about the hotel's history. The rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were super comfy. Our accommodation was beautiful and unique. This hotel has a lovely peaceful vibe - it even smells beautiful (all the woodwork). Our stay was such an enjoyable mid-winter treat. We will be back!

Always a great stay at the convent, but heating in winter could be improved.

Lovely restored convent with interesting art and stylish rooms. Great location. On site parking is also a bonus.

The rooms have very high ceilings and there was only a small wall heater in the room, which did not heat the room sufficiently. It was a particularly cold winter night and the room felt chilly. Also, we have stayed at the Convent at least 8 times over the years. It would be nice for the reception staff to be aware of this and welcome you back rather than ask if this is your first visit each time. Also, extra treats for repeat guests would be a lovely touch.

The exterior and interior decorating is award worthy. Such a unique first class destination in every way, including the restaurant. It far exceeded anything we have ever experienced overseas. We will certainly be back.
