Not the best area but flat okay for what we needed.

The flat was spacious. Beds comfortable. Clean towels and toiletries left for us.

Didn't realise it was in an extremely rough estate. Overflowing bins directly opposite front door. Graffiti on most walls. Car park had rubbish bags and beer cans and generally waste all over it. Can't see the car park from the flat so that was a worry. Although we had no bother whilst there, once in the flat we felt safe enough in there. Sometimes we found the main front door unlocked. We locked it then found it was open again afterwards. Kitchen lacked full set pans and utensils. Fridge freezer desperately needs defrosting. Radiator in bedroom being held up by bedside cabinet.

Instructions on how to find the place was sent too late. Complicated, but the gentleman did meet us outside a busy shop opposite a primary school when children were coming out at the end of the day. The so-called private car parking facilities was the local shop car park. Out of sight of the flat. Entry via dustbin area. Upon opening the door, we were faced with a dirty grim hallway, staircase, and landing, which we doubted hadn't been cleaned for months. Once insidecthe flat there was a strange smell. It was cheaply appointed . The kitchen is barely suitable for self-catering. Utensils very basic. Cutlery draw dirty with spilt coco powder. The beds are far too soft. The cheap chest of drawers with missing handles. Coat hangers on a rail were a motley choice of kids hangers at best. Bathroom door handle hanging off and useless. There was a grubby hand towel in there. We spent less than 15 minutes there, just time enough to arrange somewhere else to stay that night. There didn't seem to be any helpful instructions on how equipment worked, nor could we find anything giving WiFi passwords, etc. Couldn't get out of there quick enough.

You really need be careful this landland ! Deposit not refund ! Make a unbelievable reason as sink broken ! How could be we only booking for your 3 days ! Frist day we check in ! It is broken already !

No baking tray. Dirty oven. Kitchen mixer tap unstable. Thin sheets. Smell of smoke on entering. TV small. Light bulb in kitchen not working.

Wasn't for us

We booked 3 nights but only stayed for one. Dark, desolate location - lots of grafitti and garbage. Mid January and arrived after working all day and electric heating on very low and place freezing. Quilts too thin, shower hose leaking and shower not draining so filling up and spilling onto floor. Fabric sofa stained. We checked out after one night and found much nicer accommodation. We were refused a refund for the remaining two days we didn't stay.

The property exceed my expectation. it lies in the heart of peterborough and the location is quiet. The host is the most helpful and resourceful individual i have met.

it a bit difficult getting key to the property (Largely my fault) because i didnt understand the retrieval process, but the host helped out eventually. this process should explicit. like prospective customer knowing ahead that there is key retrieval process.

Quiet location, easily accessible. Good sized apartment with living room kitchen diner. Free parking available. Convenience store and takeaway just next door.

Safe, secure and comfortable apartment with great facilities.

We found The Eldern to be a modern, secure and clean apartment that suited our needs perfectly. The beds were very comfy and there was plenty of room for us and our things. There was a great TV in both the living area and bedroom so the kids could go and watch what they wanted giving us some welcome peace for a while. The wifi was very fast and reliable. There are cooking facilities and a hot shower. There is plenty of free parking available which was handy and also a well stocked Nisa shop and Chinese restaurant very close by.

The only annoying thing was the smoke detector installed directly over the cooker, which of course went off every time we tried cooking.

the location was perfect for me close to motorway .The accommodation was perfect, the flat had everything I needed to relax and cook my meals. Beds were comfortable. The area wasn’t noisy .the host was brill communication was helpful and professional to aid my stay.

The property could have been cleaner. The provision of a dishcloth, teatowel and ovengloves would have been appreciated as would a lock on the door into the building.

Never again! I would advise anyone not to stay there.

We were able to book at short notice and the key delivery was uncomplicated via a key box.

The lock of the front door was destroyed and everyone could enter the staircase up to the apartment door. The stairwell was probably very dirty because of bird droppings and stank. In front of the house there was garbage and open garbage bags. The area itself was not very confidence inspiring and simple. The apartment is located in Eldern - Peterborough right next to the goods delivery of a mini-market. There was leftover food in the fridge and cupboard and the bed did not look freshly made either. The apartment was quite dark and a bit worn out contrary to the published pictures. We booked only because of the positive reviews on Booking.com and were very disappointed. The previous reviews are either too old or wrong. In any case, they do not apply. There are no Google reviews for the accommodation for good reason. Our complaints were all dismissed and there was no refund or accommodation from the owner. Why someone does not repair the lock on the front door and does not respond to complaints, I can not understand?
