This property is lovingly and routinely maintained. Located directly on the beach with spectacular panoramic ocean views both inside and outside the house. With 52" Overlook chairs on the deck to watch the dolphins and maybe even a whale swim by. Shorter chairs are also provided for those not comfortable that high up!
NEW FOR 2026: Railside Bar Height Dining table with 4 Saddle Stools on the deck to dine with a view! A new gate that can be secured open or closed at the top of the entrance steps for extra security to keep the pups and littles from running out an opened door. There is also a new entrance door with a window!
Unfamiliar with KITTY HAWK? It is Located just over the Wright Memorial Bridge in the Outer Banks (OBX). Brilliantly located in a small family vintage "Beach Box" town with miles of beautiful beach and single family properties. Safe and super convenient to shopping, groceries, local restaurants, vet and human medical care; it's easy to explore all the towns in the OBX since Kitty Hawk is centrally located. Travel to the Northern Beaches to find the Wild Horses or travel to the more remote beaches further south. Kitty Hawk really is the perfect, centrally located family and dog centered beach town!
We understand the investment you are making in your vacation, and we want to be sure you are getting the value you deserve. What you see is what you get...well actually what you get is far more spectacular in person! Our pictures are accurate, and we update them as quickly as we can however there may be updates to the decor as we replace and freshen the home continuously. Please also note that the dune protecting the property waxes and wanes from weather events, which we cannot control. There is direct access off the deck steps to the beach/ocean but as efforts to build the dune and natural vegetation grows, there may or may not be a slight incline off the deck steps.
As close to the ocean as you can get. This home sits on the beach with direct ocean access off the deck steps. The ocean views are the bees' knees. A sweet and clean dog friendly beach cottage that is conveniently located on the beach just past Mile Post 3 in Kitty Hawk, N.C. Local dining, gas stations, drug stores and grocery stores are easily accessible.
Travel to the northern beaches to see the wild horses or head to the southern beaches for more seclusion. Explore all the towns, light houses, historical landmarks, wildlife refuges, aquarium, golf, great dunes, sunsets on the sound side or just stay home and watch the dolphins while sipping coffee or your favorite beverage. Walk off the deck and surf fish for fun or for a fresh caught dinner!
The location of this home cannot be beat nor can the tasteful beach decor and comfortable furniture. There's a King, Queen and Twin Bedroom, an adjoining full bathroom (shower stall) to the King bedroom and a convenient full bathroom (shower stall) in the hallway. A full size stackable washer and dryer is located in the hallway and the full kitchen with breakfast bar is well equipped with dining essentials and more. Dine at the table with the ocean in view or relax on the Lay Z Boy reclining sectional and gaze out the windows as the Pelicans fly by. The oceanside deck boasts 2 Overlook Chairs, 2 tall Captains Chairs and a Railside Bar Height Table with 4 Saddle Stools to complete your oceanfront experience!
There is parking for 3 vehicles and one vehicle can fit comfortably under cover (height restriction). A handy outdoor shower and charcoal grill complete the experience. Please note: the sand dunes wax and wane throughout the seasons. You are allowed to walk on the dunes on our property to access the beach.

We had a great week at Saltwater Sunrise! The view of the ocean is unbeatable and the ability to walk right from the deck onto the beach is amazing. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs with us and they were definitely spoiled by the beach access. The house was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. This felt like a home away from home and we would definitely return.

Loved being able to walk out to beach…inside was clean and well kept. Washer and dryer were great to have as well. Very comfortable furniture and mattresses! The owner checked in with us multiple times to see how our stay was and if we needed anything: Cebtrally located to everything you need. We just booked again for next year!
