About this house rental
Just look for the green shutters on the Beach road at milepost three in Kitty Hawk! We are so excited to bring our home to the rental market for the first time, we look forward to sharing it with you. We know our home will be your favorite getaway on the Outer Banks. Enjoy a unique semi-oceanfront vacation home with 100% unobstructed views of the ocean and vegetated dune line.
This home includes:
· 5 master suites
· A kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook a 5-Star Meal
· 8 TVs throughout the home – one in every bedroom, the bar Area, the Living room and a TV in the Tiki Bar for sunday afternoon sports.
· Gas fireplace in the living room and grand master suite
· Three wine coolers, 2 commercial ice makers
· Professionally decorated with custom furniture
· All upgraded mattresses for the most comfortable night’s sleep Ever
The outside space provides:
· Tiki Bar with lots of seating, three TVs, professional beer cooler, wine cooler
Fridge & dishwasher
· All Trex decking
· All high end polywood outdoor furniture
· Sundeck on the oceanfront porch with table, chairs, rockers and adirondack ‘s

Pool is open April 15-October 15 and is NOT heated. Hot Tub available all year for guest use.
PET INFO: We do allow you to bring your four legged friend with you and have a fenced in backyard and dog crate available inside. We do only allow ONE dog with a $150 non refundable pet fee and ask that you please clean up behind your dog. Please note that each town has different leash laws for bringing your pets on the beach. We found a lot to love about Herbst Cottage! While the layout is a little unconventional (the huge master bedroom is the only direct route in and out of the house to the back decks and pool), the spaces were big enough for 10 people, and the places we were most interested in, which were the kitchen, backyard/pool, and beach access, were really great. Well equipped with the exception of broken dishwashers (both indoor and tiki bar were broken most of the week) and a leaking ice machine. Response by the owners was quick, though we had to hand wash a lot of dishes, not their fault. The house has a great deal of space available underneath (weather protected), and the pool and backyard were truly a great hangout space for all of us and the dog. Yard games, beach chairs, great seating everywhere you look. The Tiki Bar was a unique and consistently used space. If you like cold beverages, you have many options for cooling them off in this house! Beach access was a short walk, not much further than the oceanfront houses enjoy, with the East Wilkins beach access a literal stone's throw away. Restaurants and groceries (including a Super WalMart) are very close, as you would expect at MP3. Getting on to and off of the island is also super quick and easy from this location. Check in was simple and easy, the house was clean on arrival, Wifi was strong and easy to access. Everyone loved this house and it's location.

Our stay was great! The host was very nice and friendly. The house was a great location and had plenty of space for our family. We loved the pool area. We would stay again!

Great family vacation house! We are a family of 10 and we all loved this house and would definitely stay there again. Loved that you just walked across the street and you were on the beach, pool and hot tub were enjoyed every day! Bathroom in every bedroom and extra one by the pool. Outside shower was a plus. Ice machines are another plus.Nice yard, corn hole games every day, and plenty of room to throw the football.The house had everything we needed, and was very clean! Also was so nicely decorated. We had a great week, wish it was longer! Thank you.

Thus property had everything 10 50+ year old women could need to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy for a week. Absolutely loved it!
