SPECTACULAR VIEWS PENTHOUSE IN 1ST LINE BEACH

The apartment is large and lovely and the view is unbeatable. Sitting on the balcony is nice- it is a penthouse so you are high up. It’s beautifully furnished and decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The building is on the beach and there is a boardwalk with lots of great restaurants.

This is not the fault of the vacation rental owners, but the outside property is quite run-down and not very pleasant. It is a collection of old high rises on a crowded beach. They charge 7 euros a person to use the beach palapas, which is outrageous. (Again- not the fault of the rental owners.) There is very little parking. The pool has no chairs or lounges, just a concrete bench- and it is shared with several other high-rises. The apartment is generally clean- except for the floor, which did not appear to have been swept and mopped. Our feet were dirty from walking on the floor, so we cleaned it ourselves. One bedroom does not have air conditioning. The air conditioning in the master bedroom leaked water the whole time, even after a worker came to fix it. The television really should have streaming capabilities in such an expensive place. They should provide more towels, also. We had to wait an hour to get into the rental- I strongly suggest a key locker or digital entry too. We are from the USA and may be looking at it from a different perspective- we would like a bit more of a resort experience. A hotel might be better for us if the coastal vacation rental properties are generally like this. We paid a lot for this place- nearly $500 a night!

Jerome kept in touch with us after we landed. Unfortunately, we waited 2.5 hours for the hire car which was very frustrating, but nothing to do with yourselves of course. When we eventually arrived around 4.30pm at the location, we were met by a nice lady (not sure of her name) and she showed us around the apartment and showed us how the sun shade on the terrace worked. She was very good.

Terrace itself could have been cleaner, and maybe the sunbed cushions are getting a little old. Shortage of breakfast bowls in the kitchen, but otherwise, all excellent.

La falta de mantenimiento. Es una lástima que a un apartamento tan grande, bien situado y con una terraza tan bonita tenga una falta de mantenimiento importante. La limpieza también podria mejorar bastante.
