The clerk was okay

First time staying at the hostel. However my experience was poor. 3:00 check in was inconvenient for me. Roaches crawling on the walls. The kitchen was dirty and the refrigerator was disgusting. And as a woman I had to share the room with 4 other men.

I have been a customer for over 4 years with no problems.

I'm filing a police incident report for my couple of hours there. The manager Josh insulted me in front of a female customer, implying that I molest and punched women in the face. I told him that he was disrespectful and he started arguing with me. I tried to walk away from the argument but he followed and stalked me through the hotel until I felt trapped. I changed directions and he followed again calling me a " F- ing A-hole". He told me that he wanted me out of the room. I told him fine as long as I get a refund. I packed up and moved out and I still haven't gotten my money back. The room and microwave are filthy but he harasses the paying customers, kicks them out and keeps the money.

Disgusting

Disgusting and the hostel is run by the owner named Josh who pretends that he's just the manager. He's always hanging around and enters the room without knocking as if he's trying to catch you doing something besides resting. My last visit he asked me to leave and never returned my money. Josh is a thief. The hostel has roaches in the microwave and refrigerator. Josh doesn't clean he just hangs around trying to start arguments with his customers then finds an excuse to kick them out and he keeps the money.

Location convenience with downsides inside the room

Most affordable place that met the basics located near the Broward County Con Center which was where i went for Collect-A-Con. The nearest library at least gave me good service with getting a 7 day Bus pass. Close to several food places too; Panera, Starbucks, Panda Express and there was even a nearby Walmart Room-wise, i was glad that the extension cord was able to be placed at the top of a metal locker compartment that was reachable from the height of the top bunk bed.

I forced myself to leave at 4am on the date of checkout because of my planes schedule. When i arrived back at the reception, I discovered that there was no staff which made sense because of the time. however would have been nice to put up a sign that said something like "Just leave and we'll handle the rest" as i had to rush to finalize my uber pick up that dropped me off at Hollywood Tri Rail Lastly, my room had no ceiling lights, forcing me to use my phones flashlight at night. the room with the fridge also eventually stopped working throughout the stay.

Josh the manager deserves a plack for excellence customer service.

Josh the manager always delivers excellent customer service. The guy always goes above and beyond to accommodate. And the cleaning lady Hidi always makes the bed perfect as well cleaning the room.

Okay value for money, close enough location but could do with some TLC to improve the building

- Staff were friendly - it was nice to have a pool - not too far from the airport and close to the beach

- The girls dorm had a camera in it which made me feel really uncomfortable - room felt very unclean and mattress appeared to be stained/looked dirty - facilities were a bit run down/outdated

This place is a gem in terms of price/quality. The rooms are very clean, cleaned every day, linens changed and fresh towels brought. Also happy that the ocean is only 5 minutes away on foot! I recommend it to everyone!

The water quality of the pool is a bit different from what is pictured and to put it mildly discourages diving into this pool

The place was smelling bad, AC was broken or not powerful enough, we were sweating the whole time, no toiletries, the room was dirty. I wanted to leave the second I came in🤭😱😖

alright - but some more hygiene is needed

the room had a little „kitchen“ area and a bathroom both separated with an extra door and they give you free locks

the wifi only works in the main area which doesn’t belong to the hostel exactly but to another hotel. from outside, the hostel looks dilapidated and it smells bad. the rooms are finde, not super pretty but alright. beds also alright, but what I found disgusting was that they do not give you any covers for the sheets. I was trying to ask for it on the reception but no one could help me as the receptionists are from the other hotel and only handle the CheckIn. the blanket that they gave me had so many stains that I did not want to use it without a cover so I ended up having to sleep with no blanket… When I checked, the other people in my room had no blankets either so it must be common for them. the area was alright, but there’s a ton of traffic and you do not really get a beachy feel, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay.

Cost was cheap but was better than expected. Staff were helpful.

Plastic lockers at the end of the beds are not very secure. Was a bit of a walk to Hollywood Beach so factor in a few Ubers.

Wifi just in the lobby Room was small and very full..not really clean people there also strange seemed liked some of them lived permanently in this room ..
