Check out the scenery at beautiful Lake Nantahala from the grand views in almost every room from our spacious log cabin! Sparkling and fresh with new furnishings as of August, 2025! Bring your boat, or rent one here, and dock it at our private 20' x 20' boat dock, located less than a 1/4 mile from the cabin. It's the perfect place to soak up the sun and swim in the crystal clear lake - or be your coziest during Fall and Winter next to the firepit or indoor gas logs!!
No 4 Wheel Drive needed here - we have year round easy access! We are located 100 yards up a gentle gravel incline road off scenic Wayah Road, a paved, state maintained, road.
The seclusion of this mountain retreat with hot tub and amazing views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains make this home a great spot for gathering friends and family. This log cabin sleeps 8 in luxury bedding: king master bedroom on the main level, 2 queen bedrooms with spectacular views on the lower level, and queen bed in the open loft with breathtaking lake views. This getaway includes a main level open floor plan with great room, stone fireplace with gas logs, handcrafted dining table and airy kitchen. Enjoy the queen loft which looks out two stories of windows to the lake and Smoky Mountains. Have movie night in the second den on the lower level. Both living areas and the King Bedroom feature smart televisions so log in to your favorite apps on any of the 3 TV's! Additional amenities include a hot tub with spectacular views, connected gas grill, Starlink Wifi so you're always connected, well stocked kitchen, all linens including beach towels, and laundry room with washer/dryer, iron and ironing board. Relax with coffee or cocktails from the two expansive decks overlooking the lake or sit around the firepit for S'mores and more! Everything is included, just come to relax, enjoy the views and cool weather. Or of course, be as active as you like while white water rafting, hiking and boating in the wonderful outdoors surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest, Appalachian Trail, Bartram Trail, Lake Nantahala and Nantahala River!
Conveniently located just off Wayah Road in Topton, NC, we are easily accessed even in inclement weather. The new pier at Rocky Creek Boat ramp is a short 5 minute walk from the house and is perfect for fishing! With a boat ramp into Lake Nantahala around the corner, boat rentals just down the street, and our private dock for your enjoyment, getting on the water is no problem! This is also the ideal spot if you're attending a wedding or event at Nantahala Weddings & Events as it's right next door (easier to drive than walk when dressed for a wedding)! For the more adventurous, there's an abundance of nearby white water outfitters. The Nantahala River is 15 minutes from the cabin and offers championship fly fishing. We’re 19 miles from The Nantahala Outdoor Center and only 12 miles from their whitewater rafting launch site! This is a great location to use as home base while taking day trips all around Western North Carolina.....the options are truly endless!

The location of the property to the wedding venue is very good, however, there is no walking to the venue. I searched from the house and the venue with no luck. The view is beautiful. Great view of the lake. The house itself is ok. But I’m giving an honest review. Furniture is very outdated and doesn’t fill clean. Master bedroom is in the back of the house with no view. Parking area is adequate. The road up to the house is steep and very uneven. The neighbors ran off the road and got stuck in front of our house. You have to turn around in the parking area to get out. There is no backing out without it being treacherous. I drive a 2500 had and it’s a six point turn around with one other car parked. The dock itself is in really good shape. Needs the name of the dock facing the water for pontoon boat delivery. The one car parking area for the dock is that, for a mid to smaller vehicle. I could not park my truck there without being stuck out in the road. Also, part of the parking area at the dock has collapsed into the water. I was very disappointed with that. The two rooms downstairs were good and the loft was good and all had good views of the lake. Back to the dock, there is absolutely no safe way to walk to the dock and it’s every bit of the quarter mile. The air works great. The carpet needs to be replaced. It’s coming apart in the living room. I’m not saying don’t rent this, just know what you’re getting. Kathy, the host was very nice and very responsive.
