Lake Nantahala Lakefront Treehouse with private dock and hot tub.

We really enjoyed the place and the lake was great. I made a few minor suggestions for improvement to the owner. One thing that I think people need to understand before renting is that getting to the dock is not easy. There are steps only part of the way. If you have any mobility issues this is not the place. That said, we did not see any places on the lake that would be much easier. They all have a lot of steps because of how the lake sits, well below where houses are built. So mobility issues might be an issue anywhere on this lake.

Our host was incredible he gave us a rundown of all the amenities and where the closest stores were. Was exceptionally communicative with us! I absolutely would recommend anyone staying here anytime of the year! The view was gorgeous the house was gorgeous the area around the property is gorgeous! I'll be back for sure!

This house is just what we were looking for. Quite and away from everything. The lake and kayaking was amazing. The windows in the house makes you feel like you are outside when inside. Shane was absolutely amazingly helpful. We are lookung to do a summer stay now.

This place was very nice. Beautiful views. Close to boat launch. Private. But there were a few things we didn’t like. The driveway, the stairs and path to the dock was completely covered in leaves. We could not drive up the hill without spinning out. And when we walked the stairs and path to the dock, we fell several times. I e actually hurt my tail bone pretty bad. These were unsafe conditions. We spent a few hours of our mini vacation having to blow the leaves off. Then when I tried to plug my dialysis machine behind the dresser, I found a dirty women’s underwear left there. Also, the fridge had old food and milk we had to dispose of. I question the actual cleanliness of this place. Perhaps it’s not getting a thorough cleaning after each guest. This home was very nice but some things I found odd that I’m not used to with rental properties. There was items like someone’s toothbrush, mostly used toothpaste tube, Used bar of soap etc… this is not very sanitary. Overall we think the property could be better managed. Luckily, It’s set in a beautiful, peaceful place and we enjoyed ourselves for the most part.
