Prominence is one of the most popular communities on 30A and features incredible amenities, open green spaces and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Prominence is perfectly located to new and long time 30A haunts as well as the beautiful white beaches of Scenic 30A. Guests will enjoy a beautiful town center and 2 resort style pools.
Located at the town center, the Big Chill is a hot-spot for entertainment and features an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen for sporting events and movie nights on the green. Concerts, family activities, restaurants, and boutique shops are just some of the things to do within a less than 5 minute walk.

Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.
INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.
E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge (15 days prior to check in). All credit card payments will incur a 3.5% convenience fee.

Very nicely appointed and cute decor. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Not ideal for littles due to the stairs. Very active neighborhood with children and adults on bikes. It was never too loud past 10:00 pm. Would definitely stay again. Don’t forget a baby gate!

First: Property is awesome. Clean, new, well maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. The pool is awesome, unlike other resort area pools it never seemed impossible to get seats. The Chill Spot area has awesome food and a great atmosphere after a long day at the beach.
Second: We weren’t totally happy with how beach access was advertised. We had a cart (more on that later) but parking for access to close beaches was difficult / very difficult. Adults could probably walk to one or two access areas but not with kids. The initial location listed in VRBO didn’t necessarily reflect where this unit was located on the overall Prominence property. There should be some more detail regarding the actual proximity to beaches as the map image shows an area on the beach but there is not direct beach access, especially without a car, golf cart, or bikes. Getting to beaches was somewhat of a hassle. We drove further and gambled on parking at Walton Dunes which was hit or miss. Be prepared for the parking issues. Not the fault of the owners, but more just the popularity of this beautiful area. Overall, I’d do it again, but just be aware you cannot walk directly to a beach.
Third: You’ll need a cart. However, for Unit C, juggling your personal vehicle and the cart parking in relation to HOA rules can be a smallish hassle. You’ll need to park carts in the garage to charge (we had a six seater) which means you'll need to move your personal vehicle for access.
