A very refreshing and comfortable stay, would come again!

The location is not far from the center of town, just five to ten minutes by foot from the train station. The apartment building was very quiet and very clean. The apartment itself was very home-like and welcoming, clean and well-organized, fully equipped. House rules were clear and easy to follow. No problems with water pressure or heating, or with electricity. The kitchen made it easy to save a bit of money with a prolonged stay (tourist town with tourist prices!). The balcony was very spacious and comfortable and was magic during late winter (quiet and comfortable). The host was very open and agreeable, and made every effort to make guests feel at home, including information about the town, maps, and even bus passes for the duration of our stay! Overall, the apartment was perfect for a pair of adults who are just looking to blow off some steam and have a nice, relaxing weekend away from a big city. I am used to big hotel chains which claim four star ratings, but honestly, at some of these chains you would struggle to get a hot plate for your room. Here you get your own kitchen, living room, bedroom, balcony... who cares if it doesn't have a swimming pool? This was home away from home!!

No Wi-fi (WLAN) -- luckily I had a good signal on my phone, so I wasn't completely in the dark. But this was the biggest drawback to the property: you had to use the Wifi from the tourism office, nearby youth hostel, McDonald's, or from one of the more high-end hotels if they were kind enough to let you use it. I know internet is costly in Germany, but having a good internet connection is almost a requirement for good visibility as a vacation property... The bedsheets and towels were very rough to the touch. I am not normally in the habit of pointing this out, but a little fabric softener never hurt anyone. The handoff for the keys was a bit strange. The proprietor came 40km by car (!!) to meet us at the train station and give us the keys personally. So the proprietor asked us to be super-specific about our arrival time, which may not be friendly to people with a loose concept of time or unreliable transportation. She was kind enough to give my mother a ride straight to the apartment. I think we are used to coded lockboxes and never meeting the proprietor, but this is not much of a criticism.

Leider keine Empfehlung

Frau Plank war sehr freundlich. Ich bekonnte bereits früher einchecken. Der dazugehörige Parkplatz ist nicht notwendig. Es gibt auch ausreichend freie an der Straße. Man ist nach einem 20 minütigen Spaziergang in der Innenstadt.

Die Wohnung sieht wirklich so aus wie auf den Bildern. Der Teufel steckt im Detail. Das fehlende WLAN wurde so oft bemängelt, dass ich es ignorant finde diesen Mangel nicht zu beheben. Mein Mann hatte trotz Urlaub eine Videokonferenz. Er hat in einem nahe gelegenen Wettbüro arbeiten müssen, da dies in der Wohnung ja absolut unmöglich war. Nochmals Dank an den Betreiber des Wettbüros der sein WLAN und seine Einrichtung dafür kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt hat Alles ist uralt in der Wohnung. Die Matratzen sind durchgelegen, Badezimmerverleger mindestens 30 Jahre alt. Die Wohnung ist vollgestopft mit überflüssigen Nippes bzw. ein Radiowecker (braucht niemand mehr!), nimmt den wenigen Platz auf dem wackligen Nachttisch weg. Die absolute Krönung war neben mangelnden Sauberkeit (viel Staub) diese Kaffeemaschine! Diese Kaffeemaschine hatte zwei dreckige Filter und einen Deckel. Doch am widerlichsten war es wie sie von innen aussah. Die Emaille war ein Mix aus schwarz und zerkratzt. Hier muß richtig geputzt, und auch in die Ausstattung investiert werden. Nur Geld verdienen mit der Wohnung geht leider nicht.

Füssen ist eine Reise wert. Es war alles so ruhig, beschaulich und einfach wunderbar erholsam.

Nette Vermieterin. Frau Plank hat uns liebevoll vom Bahnhof abgeholt und und alles erklärt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Leider gingen meine Wanderschuhe kaputt, aber im Outlet konnte man mir wunderbar weiterhelfen und mit neuen Schuhen ging es dann weiter durch die tolle Landschaft.

Die Kaffeemaschine war etwas anspruchsvoll in der Bedienung oder wir nicht erfahren genug mit so einem Modell. Es gab zwar eine Bedienungsanleitung, aber im Urlaub möchte ich so etwas nicht lesen und umsetzen. Leider hatte der Fernseher kein erstes Programm und wir sehen dort so gern die Tagesschau und sonntags den Tatort, aber dass waren eher Nebensächlichkeiten. Einziger echter Kritikpunkt ist das fehlen von WLAN, weil inzwischen alles digital läuft. Die Touristinformation hatte geschlossen und so konnte man sich auch dort nicht über Busabfahrzeiten, Sperrungen von Wanderwegen, Routentouren, Wetter etc. Informieren.

Die Unterkunft war sehr Zentral gelegen und man konnte direkt los in die Natur.

Das die Unterkunft kein WLAN hat, was man aber vorher wusste. Leider ist der Handy Empfang in der Wohnung sehr schlecht. Man muss zum telefonieren auf den Balkon.

Geräumiges helles Apartment für Selbstversorger

Frau Plank hat uns netterweise vom Bahnhof abgeholt und am Abreisetag auch wieder hingebracht, das war ausserordentlich freundlich und nicht selbstverständlich. Vielen Dank dafür nochmal! das Apt. war geräumig und gut ausgesattet. Wenn man sich erstmal mit den etwas aussergewöhnlich funktionierenden Gerätschaften (Kaffeemaschine, Fernseher) vertraut gemacht hatte, funktionierte es wunderbar. Ohne Anweisung wäre es sehr schwierig gewesen. Alles war sehr sauber und das Bett war bequem. Auf Mülltrennung wurde Wert gelegt, was ich sehr positiv finde. Bushaltestelle nur 30 m entfernt. Rewe ist gleich um die Ecke. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Leider fährt der Bus nur relativ selten, abends nur bis ca. 19 Uhr und am Wochenende muss man vorher anrufen, damit er kommt. Darauf sollte man achten, wenn man ohne PKW anreist. Eine Rolle Toilettenpapier mehr wäre entspannter gewesen ;-)
