About this house rental
We renovated this bright & airy space from top to bottom with a touch of rustic-modern. This Charming Bungalow located near Old Colorado City, the new hot spot destination of Colorado Springs that is close to just about everything you’d want to do. Browse through the photos and you’ll see why we are so proud of this space. We loaded the Bungalow with all the bells & whistles, sure to assist in making your stay memorable, relaxed and stress free.
Entering the home you will first notice the original hard wood flooring which covers most of the home. The charming living/dining combo offers a rustic-modern feel with plenty of room for small or larger families.
The large, bright kitchen has a nice pantry and loads of cabinet storage, butcher block counters, accent tile and all stainless steel appliances. The side door opens onto a nice deck, fenced in yard and grill (just look in the pantry for charcoal & lighter fluid).
The hallway leads to a HUGE, private master suite. Vaulted ceilings, private master bath with jetted tub and two walk-in closets. The master has a fireplace and a back door that leads to the side deck. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have TVs, DVD players and closets with extra linens. The 2nd bedroom provides a full size bed and the 3rd bedroom has bunk beds (twin over full).
Take a short drive to many of the main attractions in Colorado Springs such as Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Broadmoor Hotel, Manitou Springs, Red Rock Canyon Park, Pikes National Forest, Pikes Peak Summit with great views, Cave of the Winds, the Incline and lots more!
Nearest Commercial Airports: Colorado Springs Airport, 7770 Milton E Proby Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80916 and the Denver International Airport, 8500 Peña Blvd, Denver, CO 80249.
Penrose and UC Health Memorial Hospital are both just right downtown with quick access from Hwy 24 and just about 10 minutes away.

PROS: Overall, the house itself is a cozy place and generally worked well for my family. With young children, we only had to do a minor bit of childproofing. It’s in a great location to reach all the big spots in the area.CONS: In the primary bedroom, the furnace fan was super loud during the night, and it often woke us up. I’ve mentioned this to the property management after our stay as something they may want to look into.However, the biggest issue we ran into during our stay was that we discovered a mouse had nibbled into a loaf of bread on the kitchen counter (see our photos). We informed the property management, and they did send someone over to set traps (she was very nice!). However, we asked the property management how they intended to make things right with us. They said they would get in contact with the owners, but they said they had difficulty reaching them. I kept checking in and requesting the owners make the situation right with us, but no offer was ever made. Once we returned home and realized the owners were not addressing our concerns, we contacted Vrbo. Vrbo noted that while there was little they could do since we had already checked out, they offered us satisfactory compensation for our trouble. Be prepared to contact Vrbo during your stay if the property management doesn’t respond the way you expect. We did not feel like we were treated well as customers, and dealing with a mouse in a vacation rental is not something we expected to have to deal with.
