About this house rental

A stunning original heritage house set on a very large private secluded lot. The house has retained all of it's original charm. The house is surrounded by 100 yr old trees, perennial gardens and many of the local birds.

The interior has been restored to it's original beauty. The house has a very large eat-in kitchen and separate dining room, a very large double living room and 4 large bedrooms. The house is kept very clean.

There is two full washrooms on the second floor and one washroom on the main floor.

The private, fenced backyard is landscaped with wrap around gardens, and large outdoor deck, BBQ area and 6 person hot tub and 4 person outdoor sauna. The outdoor deck has a seating area adjacent to the bbq and hot tub.

The kitchen has a summer sunroom perfect for a romantic dining area for two overlooking the backyard.

The long driveway has plenty of parking. Easy access from the highway.

The historic and downtown tourist areas are just 2 minutes away including the falls and casinos.

Stayed for a long weekend with my wife. The location is perfect: close enough to easily drive or ride-share to the main attractions, but far enough away to be out of the huddle and bustle when you’re done for the night. The property is very nice. It’s an old house and decorated as such, but clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms and heating/cooling are modern and worked well. Hot tub and sauna were great. Wouldn’t hesitate at all to stay again if we go back.

Great piece of Canadian history. Lovely old home. Not in Niagara on the Lake as advertised. 5 min drive from downtown Niagara Falls (20 min walk) and 20 min drive to Niagara on the Lake. Property was really quaint and well maintained. Great for family or large group.

We absolutely could not have asked for a better property to stay. So close to all Niagara has to offer. Complete privacy for sauna and hot tub. Comfortable accommodations and plenty of extras the hosts include! The hosts were very responsive and communicated everything down to every detail. We had a wonderful time at Heritage House! Stepping back in time can be such a refreshing experience, especially when paired with modern amenities like a hot tub to relax in after a day of exploring Niagara Falls and area attractions. We had everything we needed and more, and we enjoyed the gift of the Sparkling Wine and Chocolates that were in the Wine fridge. The combination of old-world charm and modern comforts made our stay truly memorable.

This property is everything it says it is. It’s a charming home, that is spacious and comfortable. Lots of amenities included - as we enjoyed the sauna/ hot tub and the kitchen space to make meals. There was 6 of us total and we all had a bed on our own. Beds were very comfortable and the house as a whole was very clean. The owners were very easy to communicate with and friendly. The place is very pretty and private. The outdoors is a beautiful and relaxing getaway that is private enough to enjoy and relax in. The inside is very spacious and cozy. All of the bathrooms are newly renovated, and even though the bedrooms are on the older side, they are comfy and perfect for guests. Some of the older furniture can start to wear as we found the master bedframe had ceacked, however the hosts were quick to respond and I'm sure quick to fix the problem!

Locating the property could have been difficult, but the owner prepared us in advance for how to locate the house. The house was exactly as described. It was well stocked with everything we needed. It was the perfect size for our family of eight. The owner was easy to deal with and was very accommodating.

We were 8 ladies and the pictures show proper patio furniture but it was not there. The house is fine (a little quirky and could use new furniture) but the properly is practically ON the highway. The noise was so bad that you had to yell while in the yard. If you simply want to be close to everything it is fine but don't expect to be relaxing outside.

We were shocked to receive a message a WEEK AFTER our departure from the owners of this property. We were a group of 8 professional adults from respectable families...ladies who came to enjoy a quiet weekend. A week after our departure, the owners decided to send us an inaccurate list of items amiss and an astronomical charge of $190 for the same. We left the place spotless on departure. The only item that was broken by us was a cup and it was an accident.. Such owners ruin it for other property owners. An all-inclusive inventory list of every item in the property was not provided to us on arrival. Should this now be a REQUIREMENT by all owners in future? Had they provided us with a list, we would have followed the list and crossed off every item, and if anything was amiss, we would have reported the same immediately. Accidentally chipping a cup is part and parcel of renting properties at an astronomical price. 2 beer stein broken - We do not drink and hence did not use any beer glasses or whatever is a stein! You should have rummaged the recycling bin and garbage and we can assure you that you would not have found any empties. 1 cereal bowl broken - We have no idea about this. It was probably chipped from before or after our departure. 1 coffee cup broken - yes, we accept this. 1 soup bowl broken - We have no idea about this. It was probably chipped from before or after our departure. 2 rolls of organic bags missed - We have no idea of this and did not even see them or need them. One bag was in the organic bin which was filled and disposed in the green bin on departure. 10 rolls of toilet paper missed - we were not advised to bring our own toilet paper! Toilet paper is for use. If you did not want us to use the toilet paper, you should NOT have placed them in the washrooms, or advised us of the same in your 'check-in list'. 1 small glass missed - We do no idea what you are talking about? 2 spatulas missed - We have no idea about this. We have never experienced such rip-off owners in all the years we have rented several properties in Ontario. Please be wary renting this property as there seems to be some kind of scam going on here or the house is HAUNTED - it would not surprise us as there were strange noises at night. Some of us were pretty scared!!

Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and there is enough room that people are not tripping over each other. The kitchen is large, comfortable, and well equipped, and the outdoor space is relaxing and fun. Hot tub is a huge plus! The location makes it easy to access all of the attractions in Niagara Falls

This beautiful heritage house is exactly as advertised and a great spot to enjoy the Niagara Region! My wife and I and six friends stayed for a birthday/anniversary celebration weekend and the house had plenty of room and was well equipped for us all! House was clean and Dina and Scott were super as owners to deal with. The hot tub was a nice touch and we were able to walk to Clifton Hill and all the attractions of the Falls in about 25 minutes. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Niagara! Thank you Dina and Scott!
