Boasting more than 1,200 square feet of space, this villa at Bahama Bay Resort & Spa is ideal for family vacations or group getaways. You'll be close to The Tradewinds Restaurant and Bar, located within the resort, which is poolside on Lake Davenport's shore. With indoor and outdoor seating and a bar with lake views, guests can enjoy ice-cold drinks and signature burgers and fries. If you prefer something home-cooked, enjoy meals in the well-equipped kitchen, which includes all major appliances such as a refrigerator, oven, stove, and microwave, plus cookware, utensils, and glassware. With plenty of room to spread out, guests will love the spacious living room-dining room area and can take in the scenery and the Tradewinds Pool from a screened balcony with tables and chairs. An in-home laundry room means guests can wash clothes while watching cable TV in the living room or main bedroom or while keeping an eye on the little ones in the included crib or highchair.
The Bahama Bay Resort & Spa boasts shared pools, hot tubs, a fitness center, and a sauna. Located on the shores of Old Lake Davenport, you can enjoy the sand beach, view wildlife from the pier, or relax in a hammock. The resort is also conveniently located near Polo Park East Golf Course. Located only 10 miles from Walt Disney World, plenty of local dining and shopping options are nearby. Disney Springs offers over 100 shops and 60 restaurants, along with daily and nightly entertainment. Gatorland has a free-flight aviary, petting zoo, animal shows, zip line, and a new Stompin' Gator Off-Road Adventure. For additional entertainment, Sea World is just 16 miles away, Universal Studios is 22 miles, and for the younger guests, Legoland Florida is 23 miles away from the resort.
The Market Place, located in the main Clubhouse, offers a wide selection of items, from sundries and necessities to souvenirs, apparel, gifts, drinks, snacks, ice cream, and accessories.

This place was not clean at the beginning. But they came ans made it right. After that is was good to go.

The size of the unit is perfect for a family of 6. The bedding and beds were very comfortable. It felt like home. It's missing some essential items. The kitchen was lacking measuring cups and spoons as well as kitchen towels. The bathroom did not have a sufficient number of towels for the number of guests associated with the unit. It says it sleeps 8 and we only had 3 beach towels and a set of 5 bathroom towels. Luckily, I had brought towels from home. The unit itself was comfortable and clean. The customer service rep in the lobby at check-in was extremely friendly and accommodating.
We had a picnic at 6:30pm. And at 8:30pm, we were horrifically attacked by the sprinkler system. When we complained to guest services in the lobby, we were told that they run on a timer and it'll be done in 20 minutes. Almost an hour later, the sprinkler system was still on. Why would they water a picnic area where the grills are anytime in the evening. This should be done at 2 or 3am!
Also, the resort has major problems with raccoons. There was a family of 6 raccoons roaming the hallways of our building (#18). We were told that they live in the "forest" area behind our building. We were also told that the trash from the restaurant and the trash bins in front of the u its brings them out at night. The trash bin was right in front of our door. They hide inside the trash can despite the fact that the bins are closed. Somehow they manage to open them and get in and out of the trash bins. The trash bins should be relocated away from the buildings or even the units.
I gave it a 4 star because overall the unit was fine other than missing some minor items. I would come back but remember to bring enough towels for the rest of your party.
