Shammah lodge Mabalingwe Nature Reserve

The accommodation is very clean and spacious. They have all the cooking utensils we required for cooking. We really enjoyed our stay.

The gravel road to the accommodation was not comfortable.

What a fantastic home. We were blessed to spend an amazing time here with our family enjoying the tranquility and views of the bushveld. Listening to the lions at dusk and dawn as they greet the day and welcome the night, klipspringers at the back door, seeing the zebra’s from your shower and keeping the monkeys at bay are just some of the spoils of nature. The house has everything you need and in addition we rented the game-vehicle for a few drives. I can highly recommend Shammah lodge for a break away for a group of friends or family.

The place has enough bedrooms to accommodate at least 10 people. The pool was clean. Animals pass your house and the surroundings of the property are just lovely. You are able to rent their safari car during your stay

The place is not specific about wild animals being in the cage in a separate section. it would’ve been so much better if we were told about that. What’s worse is that they only have certain days we’re u allowed to go see them I think which is Wednesday and Sunday if um not mistaken.

Views and the house can comfortable accommodate 8-10 people

Issues with power tripping, broken AC in one room. That said when we contacted the maintenance manager the issues were addressed timely. Property and its facilities (eg the game viewing vehicle) is very old and dated for the price you pay. Took a game drive and didn’t see much game.
