Nirvana Beach Resort, Koh Lanta SHA Extra Plus

Staff were great and at the quiet end of the beach.

All prices in the hotel were very expensive, food, drinks and spa etc. triple the price of local places. LOTS of stairs to get to pool and bar and restaurant. Impossible unless you are completely mobile. Pollution from the extension of the hotel on to the beach should be addressed. Very expensive hotel per night and we got it half price. Would avoid at full price. Room with jacuzzi bath is very small in general but especially small for price.

The area was nice, it was directly at the beach and close to the shops and restaurants

It might have been the season but the crickets and frogs were very loud during the day and also night time

The best stay ever! Really Amazing hotel and the staff are so friendly. The best sunsets I have ever seen in my life!! Hotel is so relaxing and chilled and staff super welcoming and friendly. We had no cash to get a taxi when we arrived they arranged a taxi for us and we could charge it to the room. They also arranged a scooter for us and an extra night stay as we loved it so much!

Rooms are a bit dated. Walls are thin. No door to the toilet. Lots of steps around the hotel to get up and down but I guess that’s what you need for an amazing view. Bit of a remote location but get a scooter and you will be fine.

Beautiful surroundings and well done style around the property. Staff was attentive and sweet but were let down by the facilities.

We had bedbugs in our room and it felt and smelled damp/wet the entire stay (3 nights). After the first night we mentioned it to the staff who did a deep clean, changed the bed and offered us one bag of complementary laundry. This was a fine solution but the room kept smelling damp and mouldy for the duration of our stay. Bugs were everywhere, no other place we stayed since or before this have had this much of an issue with bugs. Several spots had hives outside vents which is how they get in the rooms (see picture) The resort is and feels old. Most of it seems under renovation as it was half-empty with many areas walled off and construction ongoing. The resort is also about 2x price on food and drinks compared to all other resorts and islands we have stayed at in Thailand
