Charming house with history, good value for money.

The house was very charming, in mid century style. The rooms were clean, check-in was smooth. It was close to a nice coffee shop. The owners were great, they inquired personally if we were comfortable.

If you are sensitive about noise, then it can get noisy depending on the people in the other rooms.

Free upgrade due to double booking

Host contacted me to say that room had been double booked but offered an upgrade with a neighbour across the street as an alternative. This was a room behind a garage. It was clean and tidy and with its own private entrance round the back/side of the house. It had a kitchenette but no sink or running water, a kettle with milk and sugar but no coffee. Tbf none of this was listed in the original room anyway and it felt like it was a work in progress. The room did have its own shower/toilet - this was across the other side of a large suburban garage. The garage itself was quite empty and allowed me to service my bike in relative comfort. However, this was an exceptional case so the review is not applicable to the property in question!

The location was a bit out of the way (suburbia).

Exceptional accomodations for the price.

For the price, this hostel is exceptional. You get a private room plus access to two kitchens and bathrooms. The house is a time capsule. For history nerds or vintage enthusiasts, it's a dream.

New sheets and towels would be a good idea.

view from the window, the ability to leave the car in the parking lot near the house

the feeling that you are at home with strangers, people already lived in the house when we check in, they felt at home, and we were like their guests. we wanted to relax after the road, but the neighbors decided to turn on the music in the kitchen in the morning, they were not at all embarrassed that this was not their home, and there were other guests. The bathroom and kitchen were very dirty. empty beer bottles, men's hair in the bathroom, other people's dirty towels scattered in the bathroom. the room is very small, it was very stuffy. such a number should cost 2 times cheaper. there should also be rules about the behavior of guests in the house. it is inadequate to turn on music throughout the house when people are sleeping, and litter around you.

Sehr nette Wohnung nahe Stadtmitte

Sehr nette Vermieterin.Sie hat uns Sehenswürdigkeiten erwiesen. Die Küche ist geräumig und es war nett mit den anderen Leute zu benutzen. Die Stadtmitte konnte man zu Fuss erreichen.Sehr attraktive Bio-Cafe haben wir entdeckt.

Die sehr spontane Zimmerbuchung, der unkomplizierte Selbst-Check in, der sehr nette Kontakt zum Gastgeber und das alte Haus aus den 70ern generell!

Der Duschkopf im Bad ist etwas unangenehm. Könnte aber durch einen Austausch erledigt werden 🙂

A nagyon világos fürdőszoba természetes fénnyel és jó szellőzéssel. Tágas konyha, tágas közösségi szoba, nagy terasz. A konyhában mindenféle konyhai eszköz.

Das Zimmer ist so klein, es verdient das Wort ABSTELLKAMMER. Der Boden ist dermassen abgenützt und sieht schmutzig aus. Statt eines Kastens steht eine undefinierbare Ablage bzw. Aufhänge im Raum, da ein Kästchen gar nicht Platz hätte. Ein Vorhang wäre Luxus Im Garten besteht Verletzungsgefahr durch ein zerstörtes Holz/Metall Gitter/Teil. Im Garten/Hof befindet sich ein abgestellter Riesenanhänger und bei meiner Ankunft war auch der dazugehörige LKW vor Ort. Man empfindet, man ist in einem Abstell Hinterhof. Beim BioMüll krabbeln unendlich viele Maden. Das EigentümerPaar befindet sich auf Urlaub und kann sich um nichts vor Ort kümmern, PROTZT sich aber, dass es 40 Wohnungen besitzt. Eine persönliche Attacke gegen mich: wenn Sie sich nichts Besseres leisten können. N.B: die Rechbung wird von einer Firma bezahlt. Wollte ursprünglich 3 Nächte bleiben - 1 Nacht in dieser Absteige ist zu viel. Ich würde das Haus DIMEI - Besitzername NIEMANDEM empfehlen. Ein absolutes Negativbeispiel bzw. no go.

Ausgeliefertheit an überteuerte Substandards ...

Brauchte in Wohnnot Lösungen, auch war Standort Hohenems nicht schlecht ...

Man merkt das Alter, und die Zimmer sind meist so klein und wenig möbliert (Tisch), dass selbst ich mein weniges Zeug nie richtig ausbreiten konnte. Der Boden mag gewischt sein, den eingefressen Dreck der Jahrzehnte sieht man ihm trotzdem an. Ganz analoge Eindrücke beim Sanitär ... Über den Zeitraum von paar Wochen häufte sich manch belästigendes Gesindel als Mitbewohnerschaft. Das all dies ohne gröbere Ermessens und Charakter Defizite seitens der Vermieterschaft von statten gehen soll, mag bezweifelt werden. Mit Sicherheit aber zähle ich unterlassene Hilfeleistung und Schaden in die Schuhe schieben dazu! (PS) Dass all diese Konzepte (ob im Verhältnis zu kompletten Wahn günstig oder nicht) Facetten des Grundrechts Wohnen völlig pervertieren, finde ich übrigens ganz unabhängig von Wohnnot Situationen!
