Strong smell of tobacco in the room

Only the location was good.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. The room had a strong smell of tobacco, which was particularly unpleasant and surprising. All of our clothes still had this bad smell the next day. We booked a room with three beds (more expensive than 2 beds), but upon arrival there were only two beds and a small stained sofa instead (Zimmer/Room 1). The shower also appeared to be clogged, as the water did not drain properly. The beds were of poor quality, which added to the discomfort. In addition, the walls were extremely thin, and we were woken up repeatedly throughout the night by people coming and going to the building, making it very difficult to get any rest. Same with the windows, we could hear the cars in the street very loudly, although the windows were closed. Overall, we would not recommend this place at all.

Freezing cold, no heating, bad value for money

Uncomplicated arrival, clean, simple. Good location

The heating didn’t work. My heater was on 5 for the whole duration of my stay, but my room was just as cold as it was outside. I normally sleep in light clothing but I had to sleep in the warmest clothes I had with me as to not freeze, though I’m pretty sure I got a cold because of this. Also the water didn’t heat up so I wasn’t able to take a shower. In these cold conditions I wasn’t about to subject myself to a cold shower. If the heating isn’t included in the price for staying, state that at booking! I would have sprung for a more expensive option just to not freeze… Not good value for money, unfortunately I made a mistake booking my stay here.

Worst accomodation I had so far

I didn't stay there.

The room/place was NOTHING like on photos. My room was on the groundfloor (when I finally found if. No staff there and no answers to my messages about where to find the room). The room looked like a cell, smelled weird and was very worn. I couldn't close the window and the only curtain was a see-through. Not nice when the window was against the garden and other guests just outside the room window. Felt really unsecure. So we didn't stay there with my dog. I sent all this information to the host and even left the payment of the dog there though we didn't stay, and the only answer I got the next day was: "You used the bed". Insanely bad service and incredibly bad answer to one who paid for NOTHING. So YES, I did use the bed, I sat on it for 5 minutes to book another accomodation. I don't recommend to anyone to use their money to this place.

I wish I had received more information about the check-im process in advance. It would be helpful to know my room number, that room 9 was outside, and that the bathroom was inside next to room 4. More communication about that would be helpful.

Extremely low standard for a high price

The room was smelly and the window was broken, when we wanted to cook the dishes weren’t washed and during the evening we saw several cockroaches. The room was super warm and it was very noisy as the hostel is situated on the main street. This was the only budget accommodation available on such a short notice but for the price one could expect a bit of a higher standard.

Its was way to dirty. Clean towels and sheets. Maybe a traveling student with low care fore hygien would like it. I would have liked it very much if it waa clean. But as i said, way to dirty. Old dirt.

Nothing good to take from it

The room was really dirty, as well as the bathroom. Water from the shower was freezing so I decided to call the host to ask why. His answer was really unpolite, I think he cursed on me and hunged up the call. This plase should be closed Forever. Go to sleep under a bridge instead

Worst stay ever!

Nothing; I don't comment on what was advertised properly (e.g. location) - that I was informed in advance and although was not very good, I accepted when I made the booking.

All was bad! Dirty, malfunctioning (door was not locking), bathroom was shared and far away (second floor in another building - clearly not ok as was not transparent in the terms!), nobody available at check-in (doors just open) and nobody answered phone calls when I was desperately seeking them! I travelled with a child so was not able to move out in that evening but I would not return even if they pay me! I will write to Booking.com to make a claim!

good location near 3 bus routes good shower good fridge, short walk to two good supermarkets and cafe and restaurant. 30 mins pleasant walk to Opera house and lake. extra fifteen minutes gets you to the cable car. good fridge

no fan provided . this would have helped as night temperatures were over 20 degrees. two ring cooker hardly works. warning about main road noise should be given so you try out various ear plugs before travel. the key initially provided was only for the room, no front door key given until I asked the maid a couple of days later. I would have been locked out if other guests had not opened the door for me. communication from the property was over 24 hrs response time.

Overpriced, needs rennovations

We were in the room 7, it had shared kitchen and bathroom with room 6. The room is big for two people, one table, two chairs, two separate single beds, place to hang your cloths. We did not hear the street from outside, because our window was closed.

This place is overpriced. Kitchen is very used and old, the toilet and shower is better, but there were cockroaches. If it would have costed 15 Euros per night per person - ok, but we paid 40. Plus, you can hear everything which is happening in the house - snoring, someone waking up and walking, talking, even earplugs do not help, because you can still feel vibrations. My towel was ripped. Only come here if there is no other place to go at all.

The room was ok, we only had the option of a room with 4 beds and there were just two of us.

A room with 2 beds rather than 4 with a cheaper price! The shower worked OK but was falling apart and leaking.

Very good

Friendly staff, stress free check in / check out. It is just 20 min walk from downtown, parking a bit tight but definitely enough. The room was incredibly large for us, a party of three, 2 invidual beds and a large sofa to sleep on. Bathroom was very nice and clean, kitchen block with mini fridge, mini stove and sink.

The check in situation was a bit unclear at the beginning. We where too early (checkin is at 13hrs) so we went downtown and by the time we came back, it was late, there was nobody to be found. Luckily some other guest happened to walk out and we where able to get in the building. And thanks to some board on the entrance we knew what room number we had, later we found out our Key had been on our bedroom door the whole time..
