A comfortable stay in a great location, perfect for exploring the Alps.

The apartment was very clean, spacious and well equipped, with a beautiful balcony view of the mountains. The location is excellent, close to the center of Kandersteg and hiking trails

After check-out, the person responsible for the apartment contacted me asking for an extra €100, saying I left the apartment dirty. He claimed the dishwasher was not emptied, although it was actually running when I left so the dishes would be clean, and that I did not remove the bed sheets, which I find unreasonable. I travel a lot and nowhere have I ever been asked to clean the room myself – basic cleaning and taking out the garbage I did out of respect, but of course I did not intend to do a general cleaning, as this is the job of the cleaning service.

Great view and tucked on the outskirts of Kandersteg, hopefully you dont get the key holder we did!

Kandersteg (just over 1km away from the property) is a lovely town. The property had a very spacious bathroom, access to a laundry and nice views of the surrounding mountains.

The host (key holder) was terrible, on arrival we were questioned as to why we were 20 mins early (she didn't care that we had just caught 4 trains and walked 1.5kms with our heavy bags in the fog to get to the location). To be honest the interaction with the host at the beginning of the visit, ruined the experience and stay for the remainder of the time as we did not feel welcome and were on edge about all the house rules during the whole stay. In addition, people need to be aware that this is really a two bedroom apartment with a loft, the fishbone staircase is at an 80 degree angle and unless you are steady on your feet, it is incredible dangerous going up and down the stairs. The lighting in the property is terrible too, most evenings we were unable to read in the lounge due to no overhead lights. There is also no microwave which makes cooking that little bit harder in these modern times. Oh and final note, you have to buy your own rubbish bags after you use the first one, and we had to buy our own toilet paper as we were "rationed" 2 rolls for 3 people over 8 days. This was not appropriate!! when we spent over $3,000 on the accommodation.

Astonishing views from the balcony guarantied.

It’s a modern apartment with good private parking. The view from the balcony is astonishing - it’s like in 10D cinema :-) Appartment is warm.

There are no ironing facilities even though they’re mentioned in the listing. Sleeping comfort is moderate 💤 as mattresses are pretty soft.

Minor point, but for a 7 day stay with 5 people, it would be nice to have more than 3 dishwasher tablets, 1 bin bag, 1 dish cloth and 1 tea towel

Super séjour avec vue sur les montagnes !

Logement très bien situé dans Kandersteg. Propre et chaleureux avec vue en face des montagnes. Mr Senn nous a accueilli avec beaucoup d’intérêt et nous a conseillé des endroits à visiter.
