About this apartment rental
Detached chalet in Adelboden, district of Ausserschwand: quiet meadow and hillside location at the foot of Tschentenalp, a few minutes' walk outside the village center. The entire house is rented to a group, for 2 to 10 people; from early November to late March, a sauna is included with the house. Old building, entirely lined with wood, spread over several floors and not barrier-free – the bedrooms are only accessible via stairs.
Living room with a long table for ten people, benches and Smart TV; it features a masonry stove that is fueled by the Tiba wood stove in the kitchen (wood is available). Fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and dishes, as well as a raclette and fondue set with its own dining area.
Four bedrooms with eight fixed sleeping places: two rooms with double beds 140x200 cm, one room with a king-size bed 180x200 cm, one room with two single beds 90x200 cm (through passage room, accessible only through the king-size room). Additionally, a sofa bed 140 cm with two further spots, to be announced at booking. One bathroom for all: bathtub with shower, sink, toilet, and washing machine in the same room. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Central wood heating, operated by the guests themselves; firewood, a pictorial instruction and an explanatory video are available on-site. If desired, we can manage the operation for CHF 30 per night. In summer, the hot water can be switched to electric operation.
Outside: sunny terrace with picnic table, lawn with fire bowl, wood shed and old fruit trees; we provide the wood for the fire bowl free of charge. Two private parking spaces at the house without additional cost, storage for skis, sleds, and bikes. Free WiFi throughout the house.
Sauna: From early November to late March, a large sauna tent with a wood stove is available in the meadow by the house, at no extra charge. It reaches temperature within twenty to thirty minutes, with space for the entire group inside, and there is a separate relaxation room behind a removable partition. We provide the wood. In summer, we will set up the sauna upon request.
Upon request, we additionally rent our guests a quad: a CFORCE 850 with two seats, helmets and briefing included.
The house has its own water source with a 400-liter reservoir; during periods of strong drought, around 30 liters are supplied per hour. This is unproblematic for up to six people, but for larger groups, we ask for a mindful use of water. A larger reservoir is expected to be installed in autumn 2026.
Non-smoking house. Dogs allowed by prior arrangement (CHF 25 per night and pet). No parties or events, quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Hay loft and rear barn are not accessible to guests.
Bus stop "Adelboden, Ausserschwand" two minutes' walk away, with the Adelboden-Lenk-Kandersteg guest card free of charge. Village center and Tschentenbahn about 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by car, valley station Sillerenbahn 8 minutes by car.
