The apartment had alot of space where we could all have some downtime. Hot showers and lots of towels where provided. Cooking facilities while cramped had everything we needed which is the main reason why we choose this property having fussy kids food wise. Has 3 main rooms 2 top floor one bottom floor which we didnt use due to not wanting kids to far away. Netflix and projector tv was good could have a better couch thats not floor based or dining chairs to make it easier to eat.

The apartment was basic clean but very dusty more so in the high top places. Lots of rules in this place cant close certain doors. Cant make noise above 80 they have a sound meter which gets to 57 to 65 when a train passes by. Train you can 100% hear being on a train line you kinda expect that. Location is alittle far away from most tourist things.

One positive about the property is that one can enter the house with an easy electronic code, meaning the whole family can go their separate ways, and don’t need to worry about keys. They’ve also tried to accommodate families with young children as best as possible. Also good that the property has 2 x toilets, separate from the shower area, which is something we struggled to find when searching properties in Tokyo.

As a Westerner, we probably just expect things to be a bit different, so it’s maybe not big negatives (as it seems to be the norm to Japanese properties), but I’ll still mention them here. We found it strange and different that the sink in the kitchen doesn’t have a plug to fill up with water, meaning that when we washed the dishes, we had to keep the water running. There are also no kitchen towels in Japanese kitchens to dry the items, or ones hands. Other negatives included that there was almost no cupboard space in the house, or the rooms. And the one room that did have big cupboards where we could store our luggage, was filled with items from the house. This meant that we had to keep our bags in our already small bedrooms, and live out of our suitcases. We would also highly recommend that the owners purchase new pillows, as the ones on the beds currently are extremely small, and also flat. We have sent recommendations and other complaints directly to the owners also.
