Happy stay

The location is very quiet and away from the parties. The staff at breakfast and by the pool were very nice and kind. Breakfast was excellent, with a beautiful view overlooking the bay. The swimming pool was clean, and the property was very well maintained. As a bonus, there were two lovely cats around.

The size of the room was a bit small; we should have checked more carefully, but on the other hand, the hotel was fully booked, so there was no choice anyway. Some people complain about the stairs, but they are really not that bad if you are an average, reasonably fit person.

Stunning location with fantastic views from your room. You could easily spend a good few hours relaxing from your balcony. It’s close to some great spots like “secret bar” and the area in front of the hotel is one of the main snorkelling spots that tours stop at, you can experience it right from the resort if you are fit enough to swim out +-200m from the shoreline.

The resort doesn’t have much of a beach. You’re better off staying at the hotel or taking a scooter to one of the close by beaches. A small thing… there are no mirrors in the room, apart from a small face mirror in the bathroom. This bothered me more than I thought it would. Also, there is no plug-point for the room kettle, so you end up boiling the kettle on the floor, which seems a bit silly. Still, minor issues in what’s overall a great place to stay.

Stunning hotel

We stayed here for my birthday and my partner proposed to me whilst staying here! The villa pool 2 is amazing. Outside bathroom with stunning shower. Bedroom and outside area with infinity pool overlooking the sea was breathtaking. Staff were friendly and made me feel really special. Great stay and will 100% be coming back to visit

Nice location and villas, but plan to eat somewhere else

- very nice pool villas (the rooms were just amazing) - exclusive, calm and quiet - very well equipped rooms (you got your own water cooker to make tea or coffee, a Bluetooth music box, free water exchanged daily, there's a Minibar with everything you need) - they clean your room/villa daily if you wish so (they come with a full armada of very polite cleaners) - staff is very very kind - possibility to let breakfast bring to your villa for free - small shop and motorbike rental nearby

- breakfast was underwhelming (we missed some proper western/European breakfast options, like proper Joghurt, proper cheese, more fruit options; it was more an American/Thai tailored breakfast, very sweet bread etc. Although there is a sourdough bakery in town) - dinner is underwhelming and waaaay to expensive, like ten times the normal price for a meal per person if you went to town; at the same time, the meals we ordered were already kind of cold and not prepared very well, overcooked fish, lacked taste, etc. - do not eat at the hotel, just go to the nearby town - since it's very far from anything (which has its benefits as well) you either always need a taxi or rent a motorbike to get anywhere (which is not really a big disadvantage from my pov)

Stunning paradise

An outstanding place. Our seafront room with a private beach was simply divine.

A little out of the way but the shuttle bus runs till 9 pm. After that it is taxis which are readily available.

The view . The Food was good .

Lots of mosquitoes and few lizards in the room ( bedroom and bathroom ) . When walking outside room at evening or night , pay attention NOT to step on a frog , lizard or crab , by accident. The hotel is far from downtown , so you need a taxi to go there .

The room is absolutely fabulous!!! We were at Villa 2.

The breakfast is so poor, with no vegetables at all. The gym is absolutely not fit for 5 star hotel, no AC, No water, no towel and 70% of the machines didn’t even work. The staff are very rude!!!! Very!

2 days in paradise

The hotel is a paradise. It’s located in a beautiful small beach, that was only used by few guests from the hotel. We borrowed snorkel equipment from the hotel and snorkel around that beach for a bit. We also booked a great snorkel tour with the hotel. All the staff is super polite and friendly. The breakfast and the food from the restaurant are really good. And the cabins and architecture is beautiful and well integrated in the surroundings. I would totally come back.

Wonderful stay.

We stayed in pool villa 3 and had a perfect stay. The view from the Villa is stunning and everything about our stay was wonderful. The beds were super comfy and the outdoor bathrooms were something different. It is possible to walk into the small town to some lovely restaurants, the restaurant at the resort is also good - lots of choice.

Beautiful peaceful resort and very helpful and friendly staff - loved it!

Beach view room stunning with lots of space. Staff very friendly and helpful. They made everything so convenient - arranged taxis for us, picked up our luggage even at an early 6am check out, gave us takeaway breakfast. Food and drink at the restaurant was excellent. Very quiet peaceful resort with great views over the bay. Journey in back of pick up truck to and from port is fun and adds to the adventure!

Nothing really - though didn’t realise our rooms would be so far apart - perhaps an option to put map of resort on booking.com would help? Only a minor point though. Access to room was on quite a steep slope - not a problem for us but could be if you are less mobile or have young kids.

Great staff, lovely location, and wonderful breakfast.

The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help with transport requests during our stay. The breakfast was excellent.

The stairs were a challenging aspect of our stay. Perhaps if we were a little younger and fitter it wouldn’t have mattered.

Not recommended

The view from the room.

The reception charged us for a high priced massage although they knew it’s not good and that people were complaining before us many time but was still charged. Breakfast is not that good. First room we got had many many cockroaches. We called the reception and we were told to wait for the morning for a solution so basically sent us to sleep with the bugs in the room. We weren’t compensated in any way except they moved us to a bigger room.

Disappointing

The resort itself is really lovely. Beautiful setting right on the water, a great beach, and stunning views from the restaurant and bar. The staff were perfectly pleasant throughout our stay. Don’t let the stairs put you off, as long as you have a basic level of fitness, they’re totally manageable. The resort offer free transfers to and from the pier on arrival and departure which is excellent and similarly they offer a very affordable subsidised taxi service around the island which really makes you feel like you've the best of both worlds in terms of staying in a beautiful peaceful area but still have easy access to the rest of the island.

We stayed in one of the garden rooms and unfortunately they were quite underwhelming. While they're a more affordable way to stay in the resort, the rooms are very small, and the bathroom is located in a separate outdoor courtyard, which was a real inconvenience. The bathroom had a persistent bad smell (like drains) and never felt properly clean. There were constantly bugs inside, including cockroaches, likely coming in through the drain or under the door. The air conditioning didn’t go lower than 18 degrees, which may be fine for some but we would have preferred cooler. A major concern was the resort leaving out bowls of rice for the cats in view of guests, it seemed unhygienic and likely to attract rodents and insects. There were also open bins around the property which didn’t help that impression.

Could be better

The staff are kind and thoughtful, they picked me up and dropped me off before and after my stay, which I really appreciated. The garden room itself is cute, and I had the best massage there, truly relaxing.

Not the hosts’ fault, but the place is full of mosquitoes, which makes it hard to enjoy the terrace. Same issue with cockroaches — the detached bathroom is quite inconvenient, especially at night. I unfortunately stepped on one during a nighttime visit. The bathroom also lacks AC or any mechanical ventilation, so it’s constantly humid. As for the restaurant, I found it quite expensive considering the quality of the food.

Lovely resort with friendly staff.

Our room was fantastic, lovely view across the bay from our balcony. Room was spacious and clean. Lovely rustic/natural feel to resort. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great, short walk around the bay to a quiet town with some nice local restaurants and bars. Definitely worth hiring a scooter from the resort to get around the island and visiting the lovely beaches Koh Tao has….beware of the hills though!!!

Lovely to return again

- beautiful naturally embedded hotel - loved to return here for the third time - staff around restaurant, kitchen and room-cleaning

- Chillax hut is now moved away into the hill, not cosy, too dark and the AC running too cold (before it had sea-view, was painted and lighted bright and included a refreshing drink after the massage, which you could endulge on the balcony with seaview) - checkin-procedures were in our pov too hostel-like and too cool, which we found not suitable for this level of hotel

A taste of paradise- with a side of smiles!

Beautiful location, unique rooms, wonderful staff and delicious breakfast, this hotel has it all! The staff could not help enough. The food was fab in the evening too. We had a meal in 2 other locations and didn’t like them as much as here. We had the garden rooms and bugs were not an issue that some reviews had suggested. We did the long tail boat trip as a family and it was a highlight- saw turtles in 2 locations, beautiful coral and the biggest shoals of fish imaginable. We used the free shuttle for a trip to Sariee beach too and it was seamless. We stayed 5 nights but I could have easily stayed a lot longer. You can get into the nearby cove easily too.

The staff was really welcoming and helpful, always available and smiling. We liked the pool area, the view from the property is stunning. Breakfast was pretty good, a lot of options.

The room wasn’t that nice, we were really disappointed. The aircon wasn’t working properly ; it took ages to start and refresh the room, so when you’re leaving the room, it’s tempting to let it, but the staff will be turn it off (which I understand, but it means you’re coming back in a really warm room). Then it was leaking… We call someone and he fixed it, but still not really resfreshing the room. My partner waked up every night because it was too warm. Second thing, the bathroom had really a bad smell. It wasn’t pleasant to stay inside, I needed to hurry up when I was getting ready.
