This property was reasonably priced and located right across from the ferry terminal. It is maybe 2 minutes walk to the only convenience store on the island (Lawson). We really enjoyed it. There is a beautiful balcony. I don't have any major complaints.
The building is a little old, but really I was happy with it. Some of the beds are futons which are used to sleep on the tatami mats, which is standard in Japan, but maybe a surpsie to some guests. There

Great location opposite the Ferry Terminal. Really spacious which was nice, although all the 'beds' are in one room. Lots of bowls and cutlery, but weirdly only a small pot to cook with. The washing machine was very welcome, thanks.
Nothing, it was great. There are four air conditioners, each with different controls. We had to Google Translate to work out how some of them worked. A big pot would be nice please.

The hotel or hostel was actually a traditional 'fusion' family home with a kitchen, full double bedroom with 2 large beds, a lounge and traditional 'tea room' which we used as a second bedroom. All rooms had AC. This was much more that we hoped for. Access was easy, rooms excellent and the apartment super clean.

Location was close to the ferry and the main town which had plenty of restaurants etc (although most were closed the day we visited). Everything seems to shut early on Miyajima!
It was very noisy at night as close to the dockyard and there was banging and clanging from 9pm through to 6am the next morning and it was non stop. It made sleeping very difficult which is a shame as the property was very nice and spacious and would have been a result otherwise. It sounded like someone was hammering rivets into a sheet of metal and angle grinding. This could have been bad luck and was not fault of the owner but we later found ear plugs in the bathroom so I guess this isn't the first time this has happened.
