Nice hotel but sadly staff are letting it down

Nice layout of reception, bar space. Bedroom was great size and bathroom shower was excellent.

Lack of private hotel parking. Hotel had a nice vibe, however staff attention to detail needs to be addressed, simple things like tables littered with spent bottles and glasses for over 40 minutes, yet four Bar staff behind the bar chatting to each other. Requested black pudding at breakfast, were advised none was available but could they provide something else……replied no thank you but could we have some brown sauce with the breakfast roll…… got fed up waiting for it so did without. Had to go find staff to request tea with the breakfast, tea pot was delivered but no milk, again just went and got a glass of milk ourselves from the breakfast buffet area. Could understand if it had been busy but it wasn’t. Overall customer service skills could be greatly improved upon, spoke with a local the previous night at the bar who informed us that he had come for the live music which incidentally didn’t happen, his attitude was the staff couldn’t be bothered to make any effort, which sadly I would have to agree base on our experience, a pity really because it could be a great place with just a little effort.

Very dissapointing

Live music downstairs very loud in the room, went on very late (past midnight). Then the fire alarm went off twice during the night, no fire just blaring alarm in our room. The shower was not clean, clump of hair on the wall. Breakfast was very poor. No orange juice or bacon. Bread was stale, coffee was horrible, and hot food had obviously been sitting for a long time. Then we went back to our room to try and get more sleep due to the interrupted sleep during night only to have the cleaning lady enter our room at 10am then at 11am a different one was knocking our door even though check out was at 12pm and we were only staying the one night. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay. Would not recommend. Feel like the staff must be aware as when checking out they didn't even bother ask how our stay was.

A wee gem in city centre!

It was beautifully decorated in reception area. The male receptionist was extremely welcoming and had a great personality. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. Addition of fridge was invaluable.

Only suggestion would be to have another chair in the room so that one of us didn’t have to sit on bed while watching the HUGE TV! Not enough teabags!

ideal location for a lisburn visit

right in the middle of town next to a few nice restaurants etc.. hotel is newly refurbed very nice decor and breakfast was also high standard. lots of shopping malls in the area

bar a bit noisy for upstairs rooms but its all finished by 11:30 pm gym could do with a water font !

Breakfast - eggs were tough and had been there quite awhile. Unfortunately service was not set up for the early requirement for breakfast - we came down for 7am and had to wait a significant amount of time for essentials, bread, butter, marmalade, juice.

Extremely loud live music

Great location, nice staff everywhere, comfortable room.

The reception is situated in the bar area where there was extremely loud live music playing and made it difficult to communicate throughout check in and could even still be heard when we got to our room. The live music continued throughout the day and night and was just ridiculously loud. For this reason I will never consider staying here again or will I recommend this hotel.

Very stylish but cosy hotel

Stylish and cosy room. We liked the speaker provided and the hair dryer was great too! As a light sleeper I really appreciated the quiet of the room. Once you shut the door you couldn't hear any noise outside. We will definitely stay again.

Excellent staff, great rooms, fabulous vibe and good value for money

The room was clean, modern, comfortable and spacious enough for my needs. The rainforest shower was also excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the whole place had an excellent ambience/vibe. The evening meals from the restaurant were excellent value and high quality.

The breakfast menu was a little expensive for what it was, and the cinnamon french toast felt a little underdone.

Excelent stay; would definitely recommend

The Haslem Hotel in Lisburn has been one of the most pleasant surprises of our stay in Northern Ireland. The hotel is modern, clean, and extremely comfortable. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and have all the necessary amenities for the stay. The restaurant and bar with life music was also great and made our night there super entertaining. The staff were incredibly nice, helpful, and extremely nice (special mention to William at the front desk who did an incredible job and went above and beyond for us). It's a definite MUST if you are looking for a convenient, comfortable stay nearby Bealfast or on your way to the North of Northern Ireland.
