Charming Villa with Heated Pool near Sandy Beach, Hiking, Golf and Wineries

This really is a charming villa. It is like staying at your grandmother's, if you had a Portuguese grandma. It is huge and perfect for families, with a 'kids room' with 3 beds and 2 additional bedrooms. It also has 3 full bathrooms including a tub, which is hard to find. The location is also amazing. In one direction it is a short walk from the beach and main strip of restaurants and shopping, while in the other you reach a path to climb to the top of the cliffs for a spectacular view. We didn't use our rental car once during our 3-night stay. There was nothing we needed that we couldn't walk to and the beach is beautiful. There is a housekeeper who cleans during the day. It does feel special to come back from the beach to a clean house with perfectly made beds!

The helpful guidebook to the property could be improved by being streamlined and updated.

Great location and lovely place

Felt very old, while lovely in need of some modernisation and declutter. Alarm kept on going off in the property every other day. It very much felt like being in someone’s home rather than a holiday rental

Fantastic location 3 mins walk to the beach and lovely restaurants. Set in beautiful tropical gardens with a private heated pool Plenty of space for the whole family Well stocked kitchen to prepare meals.

Some more comfortable seating in the lounge would be good. But we were outside most of the time enjoying the beautiful gardens
