Overall I would really reccomend the Salty for anyone looking for a comfortable stay yet somewhere where it is easy to make friends and socialise with like minded people in Ericeria. I booked to stay for one night and stayed for over a week! A highlight was definitely the kind and welcoming staff. Big shout out to Ilaria, Bee and the whole team. The people working here (including the volunteers) are very sweet, friendly and accommodating, I extended my stay multiple times and they were very helpful and tried their best to ensure I got a good deal. The Salty is a very beautiful ‘grown up’ hostel, there is a pool and plenty of communal space. Everything was very clean and comfortable. You are just steps away from the centre of Ericeria but also a little bit further back so it is quiet and peaceful. Because it is expensive the crowd is a little older than a typical hostel with people more in their 30s which gives a more calm vibe.

The Salty is definitely on the pricier side, you are encouraged to book packages to make it better value, but without that you have to pay extra for breakfast and even towel rental which feels a bit steep. I did a mix of just hostel stay and package because I was more up in the air with my plans and this worked out pretty expensive if you want to do activities, but that was just my experience.

The place is very nice. A lot of common areas: cinema, pool, terraces, fireplace.

I forgot why I don't like hostels. Nothing included. You have to pay even for a towel. But this is in all hostels. What was wrong here: I told the guy I'm going to check out before 8 am. He told me I have to leave the towel and the key on the reception desk. I did it next morning. Then he texted me and ask to come and bring another towel... I was in hundred kilometers away already.
