If you stay at the Forest Cabins, keep in mind that it takes about five minutes to go up using a very slow elevator and another five minutes to come down. Otherwise, be prepared to use quite a few stairs.
The breakfast was tasty, however, unfortunately there were many pigeons and droppings on the floor in the breakfast area. Personally, I dislike pigeons and did not feel comfortable eating among them, especially when they sometimes climbed onto the tables.
On the positive side, there is a beautiful restaurant next to the hotel with excellent food, great drinks, and very kind staff. It is definitely worth visiting.
Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant does not serve wine by the glass, only by the bottle. The restaurant was also quite expensive for what it offers, and the facilities felt old.
The bathroom leaked from the ceiling whenever it rained, which indicates that the facilities are outdated and in need of renovation.
The room was nice and clean. The staff was okay.
What truly makes this place special and different, however, is the breathtaking view.

Everything. Would highly suggest. Amazing villas, have not stayed in a place like this before. Staff great and informative, helped with every detail and what to do like yoga, specific waterfalls. One of the best massages we have ever had- truly, if you stay here you must schedule a massage. Chef hibachi was great experience. The floating villa really is amazing if you can do it

We stayed at this extraordinary resort for five days at the end of our holiday in Bali. When we booked, we didn't really know what to expect. It looked good, but the reality exceeded our expectations. We didn't regret upgrading to the floating villa for a second. The view and the feeling you get from these extraordinary accommodations are breathtaking at any time of day or night and in any weather. Not only are the villas unique, but the infinity pool is also brilliant. The view over the western part of Bali with the mountains and the Balinese Sea is stunning. The service team and restaurant are always available and anticipate your every wish. Breakfast by the pool and dinner in the restaurant are impressive. The resort and the surrounding area invite you to enjoy a variety of activities, whether it's a jungle walk, a waterfall or other activities, everything is possible.

Property is stunning. Villas are exquisite. Beds are so comfy, staff are just so accommodating and friendly. Surrounded by rainforest. The hibachi dinner was a highlight for us as well.
It is very secluded so definitely sort a bike.

Beautiful spacious rooms overlooking the Valley. Wonderful Food and Service. The Hibachi Chef was great. We need to give a huge shout out to IwAn who went above and beyond for us as we left our passports and money in our room and he helped us retrieve them. Such an honest man. We can’t thank him enough. We would highly recommend this fantastic hotel

The floating rooms are amazing, a unique experience. Great views and very good service by the staff.

the staff were very friendly, and the restaurant was okay, though nothing exceptional. The breakfast was good but repetitive after a few nights.
We stayed in the cabins because the floating villas were fully booked for our dates. Honestly, if you can’t get one of the floating villas, I wouldn’t recommend coming here.
The cabins are small, have a musty smell, and there were ants everywhere – on the walls, the floor, and even in the bed. They were all over the desk, where we put some food on and the packages were infested by ants. I understand this is a nature setting, but the amount of ants in the room was really unpleasant and made it hard to relax.
When we arrived, the hotel manager greeted us, and we mentioned we were interested in the floating villas. He told us one was available for a single night, but instead of offering a complimentary or discounted upgrade (as many hotels do to create goodwill), he asked us to pay around €150 extra for that one night. We declined, and later noticed the villa wasn’t booked after all — a missed opportunity for the hotel to make guests feel valued.
The decor throughout the property feels dated and overly kitsch, far from the “luxury” experience they advertise. The place clearly has potential but would benefit greatly from a renovation. The pool area is also not inviting — it’s located right next to the restaurant, so it doesn’t feel private or relaxing.

This place was literally heaven. It’s one of the most beautiful, tranquil amazing places I have ever stayed. From the treehouse villas that feel like they sprouted out of the mountain to the staff, the fabulous restaurants, the views, I could not fault this place. It is a bit of a drive depending on where you are coming from but worth it absolutely! Highly recommend!!!!

Amazing structures, they filter their own water, the staff is so kind, the food is great and the pools are the cherry on the top

Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Overall I was disappointed in our stay here. There are lots of staff and they were all trying to be helpful but it took a long time for things to be done eg getting a new drink, clearing food away etc. We stayed in one of the log cabins and it smelt quite damp. There was a dehumidifier in the room. It could do with a bit of a revamp considering the cost. The pool is also small, although has a brilliant view and I noticed pigeons bathing and pooing in it. As soon as we arrived we were encouraged to book a Hibatchi session which we booked for 6.30 but we waiting until 7.30 for it to start. This food was ok but felt the rest of the food we had during our time here was average. On our second night, the manager was there. He introduced himself and tried to sell us absolutely everything. Hibatchi (again), wine, shisha, tours. It was really offputting. There was a couple of guys playing live music and he kept requesting songs saying it was for each of the different couples there which was all just a bit cringe. Finally, and this can't really be helped but it was quite noisy. On our second day we didn't feel very well so decided to stay at the hotel and relax. They have a buggy centre from which they run tour and it was all you could hear on and off throughout the day. I don't usually write reviews and perhaps some of these things cannot be helped but it seemed like lots of money for an average stay. Also note that the tax and service charge was 21% which is higher than everywhere else we have been.

The staff is superb!!!
We went for our honeymoon celebration & it was the perfect ambience to celebrate it🤍 The facilities are amazing😀 We regret not having stayed longer and taken a jungle tour.
The massage session has been the most relaxed in my life 😍 and I have been to many many, trust me. They always keep the towels covering your breasts and keep their massage to an appropriate limit. The view from the spa is beyond our expectations. WOW. We took the couple’s one.
Food exquisite! Best nasi gorang we had in Bali.
Everything fresh, served fast, beautifully plated & delicious!!
Next time we stay at the floating villa which would have been a dream.
Constructive feedback: we stayed at the jungle cabin & we highly recommend to simply cover the floor drain of the bathroom floor near the toilet forever & ever because it doesn’t bring anything positive, except a bad smell ocassionally. We placed the trash can on top & it helped.
Second just to change all towels to a beige/sand color, because I know white can be difficult to always maintain.
Third we are super glad to have had a dehumidifier, but we highly recommend to have bigger dehumidifiers available upon request for the rooms, specialty the jungle rooms because for the size of the room, the small one does not suffice.

Fantastic views from the tree house and from the restaurant and spa. Good food, good breakfast.
There is a fair amount of extra exercise opportunities when taking the stairs from the treehouses to the restaurant. Stairs going parallell to the rail would be a faster walk but perhaps it is too dangerous. Odd placement of the inifintypool, in the restaurant area. Perhaps consider a sun and swim section with a removable divide between the restaurant and the pool during pool hours.

We spent our anniversary in what felt like luxury above the clouds. From the moment we arrived, the calming views into the valley and toward Mount Batukaru set a different pace, unhurried and quiet.
We stayed in the floating villa, which is very spacious and thoughtfully designed. The hot tub in the room was a perfect way to end the day. But most of all, it was the everchanging valley that made this place special. Whether in full sunshine or when the clouds drifted in to linger over the jungle, the summit of Mount Batukaru would appear and disappear again. One afternoon, we lay in bed for two hours just watching that quiet play of nature.
The restaurant, Kaki Langit, lived up to its name. Like dining at the foot of the sky. The food was good, and one evening there was a live band. Not the loud, distracting kind, but warm music that felt like good company.
Staff were consistently helpful without ever feeling intrusive, which I really appreciated.
A place we’d gladly return to when we need time to slow down and just watch the clouds drift by.
If I had to mention anything, just to make it perfect, I’d suggest paying attention to the colour of the lightbulbs in the room. Some were cool white, which took a little away from the warm atmosphere at night. But this is me being picky.

Location is superb! The floating villa und the view is stunning!
Everything is outdated. The room and the facility like pool etc. are not clean.
In our floating villa we had hair hanging down from the stairs to the upper floor. The shower was very dirty, everywhere dust, dirt and rest of insects.
For 250$ a night this is definitely not good! Look at other reviews, lot other people experienced similar problems

The staff members were so kind and helpful. They were able to schedule me same-day appts in the spa and the restaurant had yummy food and drinks.
The location had pros and cons. Pro: very quiet and peaceful, great for a recharge. Con: very long car ride to get there and nothing within walking distance.

Food was really good
Floating villas are cool
Location is along way away from everything
Multi coloured neon lights everywhere at night. Turn these off and it makes the place so much more elegant

The floating villa rooms are exactly as they’re pictured, beautiful and fantastic views. We really enjoyed the waterfall walks close by
We ordered room service and were told to leave the plates outside the door afterwards for collection. These weren’t cleared until late in the day (after 12pm), which meant some animals overnight had picked / scattered some of the food.

Be ready to go a lot through the stairs. I like it. And I think it worth, but my son was tired sometimes. If you are going to use funicular railway, waiting may take long.

Wonderful property, clean, new, surrounded by beautiful jungle, everything you need in the room, even a heater.
A bit far from the waterfalls we wanted to visit, but there are plenty of waterfalls around.
The room type we booked was also far from reception- takes some time to get there - we either had to go up the hill or use their cable car…

Thanks to Munduk Luxury Villas and Jans Tours were upgraded to a floating villa. That was fantastic! The staff make sure you have an excellent stay and are super nice. The chefs are also very good and can cook very well. If you want a little peace and a beautiful environment, this is 100% recommended.
Nothing to say!

Everything was perfect. We stayed in one of the floating villas and it was absolutely stunning. The views were incredible and the room was so big, with a hot tub and an upstairs too! I would not hesitate to recommend these villas if you wish to stay in and around Munduk.

It’s a really unique experience, the floating villas are spacious, beautiful and offer lots of luxury. The view from the balcony is amazing. The hotel area is really lovely and well integrated with nature. The pool view is nice and they have their own restaurant.
The pool is quite cold and for Munduk it is a bit pricy

Gorgeous location - on a clear day, you can see all the way down to the north coast, across the forest treetops - and the views from the little pool are just jaw-dropping. Very friendly, helpful staff at front of house and in the restaurant.
Our room smelled a little damp (probably par for the course in a tropical forest) and it would be better if they didn’t charge for filtered water in the restaurant.

The venue is simply spectacular! Whilst it is on the expensive side for Bali, it is worth every penny!

Unique floating villas, very friendly staff, good food
Very noisy in rooms and restaurant ; scooters on the streets and the buggys that are for rent. The buggy station is next door and the personell starts to drive them very early.

Magnificient view and sunset, we would sit there all day! The staff was superfriendly. The room was nice and ok (we took the normal wood cabin) but you have also nice 360 panorama rooms on pillars which looked amazing
It’s up in the mountains so you have to drive further to have other restaurants but this wasn’t necessary, super food and drinks in the hotel. So if you’re searching dor some rest and magnificient views it’s worth the stay for 1000%

The location is way way off the beaten track when it comes to transport. Not easy to get the normal taxi app to take you there or pick you up….and that suited us just fine. The property is exceptionally large, luxurious, has incredible views and very nice modern touches like Harmonn Kardonn speaker, loads of USB ports, digital jacuzzi, etc (no TV but not needed). There is a wraparound balcony and a second floor bedroom to make the most of the views. Our Villa could easily sleep 4 in comfort. In this (our second villa due to a problem in our first) there were no bugs, the room was clean and the air conditioning comfortable. They supply a heater in case you get too cold (you are quite high up)
The only issue was that the first property we were given had a small gap between the sliding doors and the balcony which meant bugs came in. However, they quickly sorted this out by giving us another room and compensated us adequately.
