A Life Changing Stay - Just Book It

This has been the most magical stay of our lives. We spent the last 10 days at Shanti Natural Panorama Hotel, and from the moment we arrived, we were met with nothing but warmth, love, and genuine care. The staff have been absolutely incredible throughout our entire stay beautifully kind, considerate, and unbelievably accommodating on every level. We were treated more like family than guests, and that made all the difference. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everything we needed was looked after with such ease and thoughtfulness. The peace and tranquility of this place is something truly special. Being surrounded by such lush, natural beauty in the heart of North Bali brought a level of calm and grounding we didn’t even realise we needed. For our very first stay in Bali, we genuinely feel blessed to have experienced this place. There is so much to do and explore in the area, and the hotel made everything seamless for us. All we had to do was relax, be present, and soak it all in. This is a place we will absolutely return to, without question. If you are coming to North Bali, do not miss this hidden gem. It’s not just a stay - it’s an experience that stays with you.

A truly special and deeply peaceful stay, with breathtaking views, exceptional and thoughtful staff

There is so much about Shanti that makes a guest feel like they are in a very special place. I spent Christmas here. The staff went to a lot of effort putting up decorations, arranging a Christmas menu and Balinese traditional Dancing and music. I really enjoyed the fantastic views across the valley from the restaurant as I ate my meals, which was so relaxing and peaceful. The food is great, and I enjoyed both the traditional Balinese dishes and the more Western options. Everything about Shanti lives up to its name, which means 'peaceful'. The staff are wonderful, always friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. They go out of their way to make sure that your stay is what you want it to be. They arrange tours, drivers, and make great suggestions about places to see to experience the local culture. I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. I really like that the hotel offered massages, which were really great. Rosa looked after me during my stay, and I would highly recommend her for massages.

beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. gardens are wonderfully maintained and cared for - it feels like you are staying in a tropical botanical garden. rooms are spacious and like palace bedrooms - four poster beds, lovely verandahs with great outlook. The staff are attentive and friendly and the food and drinks delicious and great value and service. the dining area especially has stunning views across the valleys and hills and its a short easy walk to a wonderful waterfall

Amazing views and charming hotel garden

Very nice garden and hotel location with cute and authentic "cottages". Lovely breakfast with an incredible view. The Aling-Aling waterfall is within walking distance, which is a great benefit as well. Much recommended for everyone staying in this location!

Amazing view but with drawbacks

The Shanti Panorama View has many good things going for it. The obvious being the amazing view, immaculately maintained premises, friendly staff, and pretty good food (just don't order any pasta).

But - and it pains me to write anything negative because it's a pretty great place and I don't know how it compares to other accomodations in the north Bali area - there are some things you should be aware of. First of all, try to avoid rooms "Lakshmi" 1 & 2: they are situated next to the surprisingly busy road and neighbors with dogs and roosters. You will not be able to sleep past 05:15. Note that we use high quality personalized earplugs and those couldn't cope. Maybe the other huts don't share that problem, but a problem that is probably shared is a lack of water pressure. And it can take more than 5 minutes for the water to become warm. The pool is pretty nice, but it seems something is up with the water filtration system. At times the water doesn't look so clear anymore and the surface has this oily sheen to it. Note that Booking.com lists this as a five star hotel, while Google Maps lists it as two stars and with the amenities provided the latter ranking is the more accurate description.

Great stay - will come back !

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The traditional design of the rooms and facilities, the beautiful garden, the quietness of the place, looks like a little heaven ! We enjoyed the breakfast with the view. Dinner was quick to be served. Room was very spacious.

This is not something we did not like but more of an advise to give : mini fridge was empty (would have been nice to have some drinks in it), for the massage it would be good to get a wet towel to remove some oil when massage is over, would be also nice to have a bit more items for the breakfast (little bit of vegetables on the plate with the eggs - some yogurt as well)

Perfect and Peaceful Heaven

The location is fantastic. I never got tired of gazing the stars-filled sky and beautiful sunrises each day. The staffs are amazing! Meals are excellent and well presented. Lots of activities which kept me having fun even traveling alone. There is an afternoon coffee/tea service with yummy cookies. I was impressed since early in the morning before 7am, the hotel staffs were already working and cleaning outside.They all seem to have a pride in their work. It was a perfect and memorable stay for me!

I hate bugs but in the nature, there are some insects… ants were everywhere and some dead butterfly wings left on the floor when I arrived. But they really cleaned well and took care of the matter seriously. The rest of my stay was like a magic.

Lovely resort with amazing views of North Bali nature

We loved our stay here. The intricate woodcarving inside and outside our villa was spectacular. Our room was huge with a big, comfortable bed with mosquito net. One afternoon we watched the monkeys play right in front of our terrace. The pool was wonderful with breathtaking views of lush greenery and the waterfall. We really enjoyed the meals in the restaurant and the kind staff helped us organizing a tour to the waterfalls and Blue Lagoon as well as to Lovina. We also booked our driver to Ubud through them. The staff were so friendly. Would love to return one day.

The bathrooms are modest compared to the rest of the resort. We didn’t care but might be good to know. There were not really any other restaurants nearby so you eat in the hotel restaurant most of the time. It was good but normally we prefer to leave the property for meals.

It was awesome until it all went south and then you'll be out in the cold and on your own

If you get in real trouble, like if all the atms in the area stop working, and you can't get cash to pay the driver to get to the next hotel, don't expect any customer care, cos they don't care. They will just mess around, and tell you about things that they can't help you with, meanwhile if you are sick with a cough and stressed because you have money in your accounts but all of a sudden you can't access any, don't expect any empathy, support, you'll be all on your own. Typical lazy, self-centred, unhelpful Balinese. Some of them are helpful but not the guys in this hotel. They are incompetent and they don't care

Amazing!

This property was gorgeous! The grounds had so many beautiful flowers and plants, the views were insane, and the pool was perfect. Our room was huge and amazing, great views from the front patio. The restaurant had great food and the staff were all helpful and professional. Very close to Aling-aling waterfall and 3 other waterfalls (walking distance). Can’t wait to come back here!

fantastic value and one of the most authentic parts of our trip- stay here at least two days to take it all in!

Stunning location in the north near Aling Aling waterfall. the restaurant has stunning views we enjoyed everyday during breakfast. more of an authentic Bali vibe here with close to a village. We took the trek into the forest by a guide who also worked at the hotel called Wili - very informative and you could feel what the forest meant to him as he prayed and gave gratitude at each sight of natural beauty- this included seeing and swimming at the waterfalls - deffo deffo do this!! Room was massively spacious and decent facilities given the price. The staff were lovely and genuinely lovely people. We enjoyed our stay, Deffo worth the trip up and we’d recommend staying here two days.

Amazing location, I was there only for 1 night, but I'd definitely come back for a longer stay

LOCATION!!! amazing views, so much greenery and the sound of waterfalls and a river clean rooms comfortable beds big infinity pool overlooking the jungle (in February we had it all for ourselves) tasty food

After checking out staff asked me to pay for my stay AGAIN saying they don't accept payments on Booking (I'd already paid full price many weeks prior on Booking and there was no information about online payments being unavaliable, so payment was complited with no problems whatsoever). In the end, after showing confirmation of payment both on booking and in my banking app and few phone calls from the staff to some other people, it all ended well with just me leaving them my contact info, but the whole situation was nerve wrecking and time consuming. Nevertheless I'd definitely visit again if I go to Bali for the second time, the views and the nature are worth it, even with some payment misunderstandings :)
