Quinta Vale da Roca

Incredible location, beautiful views, comfortable rooms, and lovely staff. I came back 7 years after my first stay to show my wife this incredible place and it did not dissapoint. Genuinely one of the most beautiful places to stay in Portugal. And I've lived there for over 5 years. They are also really accomodating with special requests.

Scenery and cottage was over the top. Serenity at its best.

Giving tenants the code to the gate before we arrive! Could not find anyone to let me in upon arrival and no one was there to check me in. The sauna and hot tub were not in operation. No massage either which. We’re advertised.

A last minute getaway from Lisbon, we found this beautiful boutique hotel in Guincho, a short ride from Lisbon. It seemed very nice and my first contacts with the people managing the property were excellent. Once we arrived, everything was perfect. Perfect location, comfortable room, very friendly people running the place and everything was just right. They arranged a wine tasting for us, and it was new for them so a lot of work, but all went well. The pool, spa and gym were all very nice too. We had meals in the little town next door which they reserved for us. Today breakfast was excellent and all went well. It was a perfect experience.....

Nice location & an amazing view

The room we booked was extremely dirty. It had a crusty, stained carpet and stained chairs, it was full of bugs, etc… just disgusting. After the first night, we said that we wanted to leave and get our money back for the remaining nights. The manager was understanding and offered us a better room, which seemed a lot better at first (no disgusting carpet and chairs), so we accepted to continue our stay there. But as soon as we moved into that second room, we saw that it was also quite dirty and even smelled a bit mouldy. The pool area looks nice but is also quite outdated. We only went into the sauna and gym area once and never again, as it smelled incredibly mouldy and the toilet down there was super dirty. We were happy to leave this hotel and expected a lot more from such an expensive place!
