Portside Resort 2 Bed, 2.5 Bath - Townhome

My boyfriend and I went with another couple to stay and celebrate our recent graduation from nursing school. We didn’t know what to expect but we were blown away. The check in and out process was SO easy and we had no problems whatsoever. When we arrived the place was spot clean and exactly like the photos. Plenty of room with all of the tools and necessities you need. There are two pools with one of them being less than a minute walk and hardly anyone there most days. The beach is about an 8 minute walk but there was plenty of parking closer in case you have a lot of stuff to carry. The beach was AMAZING and beyond what we could have asked for. Clear sand and blue water. So many restaurants and attractions just a few minutes away (drivable and also walkable). The neighborhood is quiet and very friendly. We truly could not have asked for a better vacation and easier rental. Overall 10/10 experience.

The property was as described and met our needs for the most part. The amount of supplies for a four night stay was lacking and there should be at least salt and pepper and trash bags supplied, but none were. The updates that have been done are nice. The biggest issue we had is that the mattress in the main bedroom is completely worn out and you feel like you’re sleeping in a hammock. I did not sleep well at all on this mattress and I would not return unless I knew for sure that the mattress had been replaced. On a super positive not, the host were extremely responsive and the proximity to the beach is really nice. I wish I could give it five stars but the mattress being so worn out and uncomfortable does not warrant five stars.

This place was super spacious and met our needs easily. The condo is an older unit but updated nicely. Beach towels were available if you needed them (they just ask that you wash them). The walk from the condo to the beach is doable, but since we had so much stuff to schlepp we parked at the front to have a shorter walk. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. I will say that you are getting nothing extra - we had two trash bags, one roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and one wash worth of dishwasher soap. There was an assortment of dishes and pans but no Tupperware or anything and no kitchen staples like oil, salt + pepper, etc. There was one dish tag, a dish towel but no pot holder. The only thing that I was disappointed in was that the listing didn’t mention the $40 parking fee that was required. After I made my (no -refundable because of time) reservation, I then got an email about how to pay for my parking and wristbands that allowed access to the amenities (pool, club house, etc). Wristbands were $1 per person (no one ever asked the see them and we were asked to leave them behind) and parking was $40. When I inquired with the owner about the parking fee I was told that “Portside doesn’t include parking in the pricing”. Updating the listing to include the parking fee would be helpful as the way it reads makes it seems that parking included. Overall we had a good experience and would stay again if in the area.
