Georgian Apartment in the heart of Edinburgh's Newtown.

Our family stayed in the loft apartment for a family wedding. It was the perfect location. The wedding venue and the reception site were within walking distance. Being able to stay in an apartment allowed our family to relax together and talk in a way a hotel could not accommodate. Our hosts, Belinda and Stephen, were gracious and very responsive. We loved our stay!

Great location! Easy to get to all the things we wanted to see! The house was perfect for our group, Belinda and Stephen were very detailed in their instructions and responsive if we had any questions! The beds were super comfy and the showers had great water pressure!

It was Fantastic!!! We could not have been more pleased!!! The place is excellent, having 5 bedrooms and 5 baths is a real plus for couples and a large group with many rooms having 3 beds. The place is very comfortable and well equipped. It’s location is perfect for visiting, via walking, many of the highlights New and Old Town. Stephen and Belinda are grand hosts who are always timely in their responses and very helpful!!!

Communication with owner was excellent. The apartment was in perfect location for walking to dinner/pubs and downtown. We had a wonderful vacation.

Your cleaning folks need to do a better job. We found food crusted on some of the pots and pans and cooking utensils. Potato chips raisins and cereal under the dining table. Never could figure out the coffee maker. Really glad you had 2 French presses.

Property was perfect for our family - total of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. Kitchen was well equipped and the combo living and dining room area worked well. Easy walk to all the key sights and plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Only caution - do be mindful there are lots of stairs. Not a problem for our family, but others could be challenged. Stephen and Belinda were super accomodating and responsive - including our check-in/check-out. Definitely recommend. Great property all around.

There were 12 of us who stayed in March. Nice private rooms with a large family area to gather at the end of the day. The loft was very charming and the location was great! Communication with the owners was easy and responses were quick. Don't be intimidated by the stairs… they were fine.

Our extended family of 12 stayed at this house over New Years. The house is as described in the listing, clean, and well decorated. There was plenty of space in the dining/living for us to hang out and watch tv together and the kitchen was well stocked with a small supply of coffee and teas and basic spices. Four of the five bedrooms had their own bathroom. They were small but worked great for everyone to have their own space and privacy. The location cannot be beat. We walked every where and there were markets, shops and restaurants all around us. Communication between owners and check-in/out was easy. Our only criticism is that some of the beds/mattresses seem dated and springy and the pillows (1 provided at each bed) were really flat and uncomfortable. We loved the apartment but everyone complained about not sleeping great.

We stayed for 10 days. This listing was very accurate and the flat worked great for us... so many bedrooms and baths with all adults having a place to retreat to when time alone was needed. The owners were quite responsive to any inquiries, and the location--just down from the National Gallery/Christmas Market and away from the Royal Mile crowds--worked great. Glad we picked this flat/location!

Unique and perfect for our large family group. Easy to find, the hosts respond immediately to questions. Every room having its own bathroom is a massive plus. We all loved the location, near the Water of Leith and so close to National Gallery and Waverly Station. Another plus was the best dryer I’ve ever encountered in Europe which is no small thing. A dark entryway (also exitway) where dark objects can be left behind is the only negative I can think of.

Our recent stay here was an absolute dream. Accommodating my immediate family and in-laws, this location was the perfect choice for our group. With ample space, well-thought-out room configurations, and multiple ensuite bathrooms, everyone had their own private sanctuary while still being able to come together in the inviting living room and kitchen areas. We enjoyed quality time together without feeling cramped. The house was warm and inviting. The interiors were tastefully decorated, showcasing a harmonious blend of modern amenities within traditional Georgian (I think?) architecture. Every detail was meticulously attended to, creating relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The property’s location was also perfect. Situated in the heart of Edinburgh, we were within walking distance of countless local shops, restaurants, and the Royal Mile. It made exploring the city fun and easy. The hosts were also outstanding. From the moment we booked, they were readily available to answer any questions and provided us with detailed information about the property and the area. Their warm hospitality continued throughout our stay, making us feel like valued guests. Our family all agreed that our stay here was an unforgettable experience. The combination of the perfect location, charming accommodation, and the caring host made this an ideal choice for large groups. 5/5 stars.

This was a great location in Edinburgh, just a few blocks from Princes Street. There was room for all nine in our family and the apartment was well appointed. Please note there are several flights of stairs up to the apartment.

This apartment was perfect for a group of 8 of us who were in Edinburgh to celebrate my birthday. The location was so convenient for everything, including public transportation. The pictures don't do it justice - it is stylish and roomy and cozy all simultaneously. Far more spacious than we were expecting. The beds were comfortable, and even the showers were nice. For those who are put off by the stairs, don't be! I have knee and ankle problems, and the stairs were not an issue. Stephen and Belinda are great hosts. They answered all of my questions prior to my trip, and quickly handled a minor issue. Just a fantastic stay all the way around.

The location of the home was absolutely perfect. Walking distance to Waverly station and the Royal Mile. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The home was wonderful and cozy. Perfect for large group of people. Communication with the owner Stephen was spotless. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Edinburg.

We loved this loft! It had ample space for our large family. The bedrooms each have their own bathroom which was fantastic! We may have overlooked this in the description, but we were not expecting it to be a 3rd floor walk up without a lift; so we were a little concerned about the 75 year old that was with us managing the steps, but she did fine. If you are traveling with anyone who might have difficulty climbing that many stairs, you’ll want to pass on this one. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the property! It was updated and decorated really nicely. The location was awesome and close to shopping and restaurants, bars. Fairly easy walk to the train station as well.

The flat was fantastic for a large group! It’s central location made it so easy to get to the main sites of Edinburgh with so many great restaurant and bars in the immediate vicinity. The flat itself was spacious and clean and working with the owners was brilliant - they are great people and wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay there again!

Absolutely loved "The Loft" We were in Edinburgh for the Holidays so we enjoyed Christmas and New Years Eve. The location of this property is magnificent. Just a short walk to the main drag of George St., Princes St, Waverly Station and Old Town. Quaint pubs and delicious eateries abound. Highly recommend Amarone, a great Italian place at St. Andrew Square. The Loft was well equipped with nice touches including little holiday treat packs in each bedroom and a nice bottle of gin in the Kitchen. The owners went over and above the normal preparation. The lounge was a great place to gather for a meal or to play a game. The perfect property for a family trip to Scotland. Hope to return soon.

We housed my family and bridal party here for a wedding, and it was lovely! Each room has a beautifully crafted theme and a bathroom. The owners were kind, accommodating, and so easy to communicate with. It was the ideal space for a large group, and made our first trip to Scotland great!
