Renewed apartment in an old building. Some parts are new and nicely decorated, some could use a touch up. 1st floor, no elevator. Nice living room with tv and porch. 1st room is nice and comfortable, with a tv and a double bed. Plenty of beds in total (2 double and 3 single beds). The kitchen is well equipped. Cleanliness overall was ok. The neighborhood isn't great, not a lot to do or see around there, but it's safe nevertheless. Senegal is a very safe country. I really enjoyed having a few beers at the porch, see the sunset colors and the beautiful people about their business. The lady in charge of checkin/out and everything else was GREAT. Very accessible and efficient. Less than 10 walking distance to a supermarket (Auchan) and a good restaurant (Chicken Nekh). There's a restaurant/pub across the street (Le Mermoz) but we didn't go.

The other 2 bedrooms are a little plain and old and the beds are just ok. There are 2 bathrooms, but only 1 toilet for the whole apartment - which is the main problem in my opinion - in a separate room. There's a bidet in the main bathroom; maybe they should change it to a toilet with a hand sprayer so the apartment has 2 toilets in total? The whole hydraulic system depends on a pump, which makes a lot of noise whenever you use any faucet or shower in the apartment. Not a big problem during the day. At night I recommend closing the kitchen, bathroom and toilet doors to block some of the noise. There was a beggar sleeping at the building entrance every night but he was respectful (lol) and 2 kids asking for money during the days, but I never felt unsafe. In the mornings the street in front gets a little busy with cars, which gets noisy and smoky.
