After being in Istanbul 3 times before, I try to avoid hotels that are surrounded by steep hills. This hotel was in good location. Close to Taksim Square and various shops on both sides of the street. Bed was surprisingly normal. Wifi ok. Terrace was nice to have and be able to sit outside.

Of course need to understand the ratio between price and standard but in the other hand, I have lived in hotels with same price and much better standard. Room was much more worn down than what photos on the site show. Both TV and curtain rack fell down to the floor on second day because wall was from soft material. Kitchen was there so clients can cook own food but appliances were way too few. No coffee maker, not enough pots and pans. Only few drinking glasses. Shower was dirty and drain needed immediate cleansing. During five nights, we did not have house cleaning one time. We had to ask for new towels. Terrace was dusty and after short time, socks went black and hotel slippers were of course not my size. No cleaning there either, I guess. The view from terrace was ok to one direction, but if turn around, there was a rusty roof and construction site on the other side. Noise was sometimes too loud from the street but at night not that bad. Way too few sockets. No good place for laptop if need to work for instance. On TV, no programs for western clients. Only Turkish programs and Russian propaganda channel RT. Staff was neutral. Doing their work and that´s it.
