    Stayed at BAY HOTEL Tokyo Hamamatsucho and overall it was a good, fuss-free stay. The location is a big plus...very close to both JR and metro stations, making it super convenient to get around Tokyo and especially easy access to Airport.

    This hotel had so many weird negative quirks about it that made it hard for me to rate this more than middling: - the sink is in the main room, so I couldn't put my laptop anywhere near it. Really odd design choice for a room - they don't let you pay in cash. I had been saving yen specifically to pay for this place, because it indicated that I could pay at the property, but then when I arrived, there was only the option to pay by card. I would not have booked this place if I knew that I would have to pay by credit card, I had yen to burn at the end of my trip and I wasn't able to. So now I just have a bunch of yen that I have to convert at a pretty bad rate. - they don't let you change the temperature of your room, the AC system is running throughout the entire hotel at one temp, which is exactly what the APA hotel chain does, I didn't like it there and I don't like it in this place, I specifically booked this place to avoid the APA experience and I paid more for it than I would have wanted to. - check in is at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 10:00 am. I feel like this is extremely greedy and the 2 hours is pretty noticeable, 1 hour on either end. Again, it's not like this was a cheap hotel, I paid quite a bit for it, and was pretty much treated like I needed to enter my room at the latest possible moment and then leave as soon as possible. - really low ceilings, small cramped room, hard to navigate room - there was a weird mechanical noise that persisted throughout our stay, earplugs didn't really help with it. May have been the train tracks rumbling? It sounded like a washing machine constantly running
