About this house rental

Apartment located in a pretty and peaceful village on the top of a hill in the Chianti area which overlooks a landscape of olive trees, vineyards and woods. The village is located in a WWF protected area "Bosco di Sant'Agnese" where the cypresses grow spontaneously.
The structural characteristics of a typical country has been scrupulously respected, creating a typical and unique atmosphere of the past. The oldest part is the 1100 AD tower. c.
There are two large parking lots in the village and there are no cars on the small streets, except for loading / unloading luggage.
Available to guests and shared with the other villagers, we have a completely enclosed swimming pool (12x6m maximum depth. 1.50m) and a tennis court (fenced) in synthetic grass.

We arrived to a very beautiful small village. The location was stunning and the property was very inviting. The local town is about 7 minutes drive and has everything you need.The owners were amazing and the welcome basket was just delicious.Playing tennis and swimming with views of the rolling countryside is just idyllic.

Our stay in this enchanting little village was just perfection. Our renovated “barn” was so cozy and comfortable, Our host, Veronica could not have been more attentive to our needs (it was quite cold when we were there and she made sure we had fuel, etc to stay warm). She also brought us wine and olive oil from her family and a delicious tart. It was peaceful, beautiful and everything we could have hoped for. Thank you Veronica and Massimiliano for sharing your magical little corner of Italy! We certainly hope to return!

Everything great, love to come back. We had BBQ brtween the olive trees, sat on the terrace, cooked good mesls in the well equipped kitchen... fruit basket and a cake were there for us when we areived... Thank you for the great time!

Wow! We could not be more pleased with our stay at Castellina in Chianti. We were greeted warmly, with welcome gifts (wine, olive oil, a delicious tart, and fresh fruit). The property provided us incomparable vistas from the generous terrace and along shady hiking trails. We were comfortable in the spacious living area and bedrooms. All amenities were in great working order and gave us just the respite we were seeking. Plus, after a long day of sightseeing in nearby Florence, the beautifully located swimming pool was the perfect way to cool off. We want to return and will recommend this lovely gem of a spot to our fellow travelers and friends!

I think if I ever stayed in Chianti Classico again, I would ask for this exact same place. The views from the mountaintop were incredible, olive trees, everywhere, thousand year old property, it doesn’t get much better than that!

We spent a great time in this little spot in the middle of Chiantis forests and vineyards! Perfect calm nights, nice surrounding for walks and Toskanas attractions nearby. In the evening we loved sitting around the fireplace. A very special thank to Veronica and her warm welcome! Everything had been prepared for a first evening-including homemade wine and olive oil. We felt very much at home and had a great time. Hopefully we will be back some day! Best regards!!!

The village Il Granaio is picturesque and the view is stunning. You also have this great view in the pool and on the tennis court. The house itself has everything you need for a relaxing time, but the equipment is scatchy. There is a very good induction cooker, but the AC in the master bedroom, which is super loud and super big is cooling only one room in the house. You can't close the window, so it's a huge waste of energy! The host Veronika was friendly, helpful and flexible.

We are a family from Vienna who stayed a few days in this very quiet scenic location. The house was comfortable, the owner hospitable and helpful, and the views (and smells) unforgettable. There is good access to towns around and many places are within the 45 minute radius -it is different from staying in a town but that's what we desired. It was our first use of this website and everything worked fine. We will return !

Chouette petite maison, avec une très belle terrasse. Nous avons profité de la piscine tous les jours, qui est à 2 minutes à pied. Endroit charmant! Contact avec les hôtes facile et chaleureux. On y était comme chez nous, avec notre enfant de 2 ans. Endroit proche (30 min en voiture) des beautés toscanes (San Gimignano, Sienne,..). Moins pratique pour faire des courses, ceci dit nous avons trouvé notre bonheur à Castellina del Chianti. Air clim un peu vétuste (fameux bruit!), et qq problèmes avec les moustiques. Mais séjour absolument agréable par ces bagues de chaleur! En cadeau, une très bonne huile faite maison. Nous retenons l'adresse

Wunderschöne Lage in einem kleinen Dorf, welches zusammen mit Pool und Tennisplatz definitiv das Highlight war. Auch die Position in der Mitte in der Chianti, mit kurzen Wegen nach Siena oder Florenz ist sehr gut. Unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, auch wenn Carla leider kein Englisch konnte, hat aber trotzdem gut geklappt. Auch große Flexibilität bei Anreise und Abreise. Das Haus ist rustikal eingerichtet, und das Internet sehr langsam.

Wir haben sehr spontan gebucht, wahrscheinlich lag es also auch daran, dass die nette Vermieterin bei der Übergabe nicht vor Ort war und unser Aufenthalt etwas holprig anfing. Es war aber überaus freundlich von ihr, dass wir am Tag unserer Abreise noch etwas länger bleiben konnten. Das Haus war soweit in Ordnung und sauber, man hat aber an Kleinigkeiten gemerkt, dass nicht viel in Erhalt und Komfort investiert wird: im Schlafzimmer eine mobile Klimaanlage, bei der man allabendlich den Schlauch zum offenen Fenster herausstecken musste, verwitterte, unschöne Bastrollos vor dem großen Küchenfenster, dort auch ein loses Mückengitter, fehlende Stuhlkissen für die Terrasse ... Bei dem grandiosen Spot etwas schade. Das Dorf Graiano ist unheimlich pittoresk und schön gelegen in den Hügeln des Chianti Classico. Der Dorfpool ist schön groß, allerdings gibt es recht strenge Poolregeln - gerade mit Kindern - und man muss zum Schwimmen eine Badehaube tragen. Wir fanden das Wasser recht stark gechlort. Der Dorftennisplatz ist völlig in Ordnung. Insgesamt können wir den Ort vor allem wegen seiner tollen Lage und der schönen alten Dorfstruktur unbedingt und gerne weiter empfehlen.

Ce n’est pas notre première expérience. La maison est correcte, mais vite très chaude. Pour le reste c’est impeccable. Grande terrasse pour profiter de la vue et du soleil du soir. Jardin pour être à l’ombre des oliviers! Village magnifique. Calme assuré. Idéal pour se ressourcer.

Sehr schönes Objekt mit sehr freundlichen Vermietern. Sehr ruhige Lage. Durch den Pool, die große Terrasse und den Tennisplatz sind auch Tage "ohne Programm" abwechslungsreich. Auf "kontaktfreudige" Mücken sollte man sich einstellen und vorbereiten.

The Capanna house was great : ideally located in a cosy village, far away from the urban noise... we had a really good time in family (2 adults / 2 kids). The owners were really helpful and welcoming even when we had a few minor problems (a broker key / random wifi) and they quickly found a solution. The swimming pool and the tennis court were also highly appreciated, as much as the surrounding well preserved nature. To be recommended ;-)
