Charlotte Cruise House Boat

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot in den Backwaters von Kerala. Das Boot war sehr komfortabel ausgestattet und die zweiköpfige Besatzung hat sich herzlich und aufmerksam um uns gekümmert. Das Essen war jedes Mal ein Highlight – frisch, abwechslungsreich und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Wir hatten viel Privatsphäre an Bord, da die Crew stets im Hintergrund blieb, aber immer zur Stelle war, wenn wir etwas brauchten. Das Miteinander war sehr angenehm und entspannt. Während unserer drei Nächte auf dem Boot konnten wir tief in die Backwaters eintauchen. Es wurde nie langweilig – Spaziergänge auf den Dämmen, kleine Begegnungen mit Einheimischen, der Kauf von frischem Fisch und sogar der Besuch eines traditionellen Bootrennens waren unvergessliche Erlebnisse. Wer in Kerala unterwegs ist, sollte unbedingt eine Hausbootfahrt machen – auch wenn es kein Geheimtipp mehr ist, bleibt dieses ruhige Dahingleiten durch die Backwaters ein ganz besonderes und erholsames Erlebnis.

Ajey did a wonderfull job of feeding us and generally looking after us on the boathouse. Loved the local knowledge and the locations we were taken to.

We had a lovely first day on the cruise. The food served was great, the views were amazing and the captain and chef were lovely.

Both the chef and captain would watch things on their phones at maximum volume which we found irritating on what should be a very peaceful trip. When it came to going to sleep we didn’t realise the chef would be sleeping on the floor in the lounge. We felt that we didn’t have much privacy as the walls were very thin. He then proceeded to snore so loudly that my boyfriend and I barely slept. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable as well as the AC having a mind of its own. For the price I feel like small changes would make a massive difference.
