The Prickly Pear Apartment

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les attentions lors de notre arrivée : gâteau, raki... Logement très confortable, joliment décoré et très propre. Agréable petit jardin. Place de parking à côté du logement et ruelle calme. Proximité de la plage et accès rapide au centre (commerces) et aux accès routiers principaux. Xanthi et son mari sont prévenant et disponibles

Il manque quelques équipements de cuisine.

The location is excellent, close to both the beach and Chania city center. There is also a bus stop on the main road, just about 50 meters away, which makes getting around very convenient. The apartment itself was stunning and much more spacious than we expected. Everything was absolutely spotless and very well equipped. We had everything we needed, including a washing machine, toaster, sandwich maker/grill, and even laundry pods. There was air conditioning in both the bedroom and the kitchen, as well as a mosquito repellent in the bedroom, which was a thoughtful touch. Everything was perfect during our stay. The apartment also has a beautiful little garden and is located in a peaceful, quiet area. We felt very comfortable and would definitely stay here again

The apartment is superb in every way!!! Very generous with the towels and bed linen supply. The owners had complementary water and very tasty to what tasted like home-baked cake on arrival, as well as a welcome drink of the local alcoholic drink Raki. Owners live upstairs, so in case you lock yourself out of the house ( like we did:)), that is not a problem LOL:) I absolutely loved the dresser table with mirror for daily makeup routine!!! The closet has a few complementary sun umbrellas for the beach ( a must in the summer heat, also a diving mask, one pair of swim fins(size 41), different bits and pieces like sand toys and ball games. And then THE GARDEN!!!! I would sleep in it but for the mosquitoes! What a great idea on the swing chair! I spent my morning coffee routine there, sitting under the lemon tree watching the bees pollinating the lemon tree flowers, listening to cicadas. The surrounding area is super private and quiet; at the same time the apartment is beside a busy main road. The free electric bus routes on this road, so we kept getting a free ride to town. You absolutely MUST start your morning by grabbing a delicious coffee and a cake at "Papanikolakis" and later in the day have lunch at the extraordinary "FAMILY" restaurant (buffet type but table service). The beach is about 7 min walk. Town is a 15-min walk if you prefer walking instead of a free bus ride. Highly recommend renting a car, because the Crete views are breathtaking! Overall, we had 11 nights of an unforgettable holiday, and the Prickly Pear Apartment stay was a huge part of it, truly and honestly ! Do not hesitate, book this place!

The toilet flushes extremely loudly in case you need to attend the bathroom at night, but that is totally fine for us.

- Bett quietscht bei jeder Bewegung und ist sehr hart und unbequem. Wir sind leider jeden Tag mit Rückenschmerzen aufgewacht. Der Gastgeber hat nach unseren Beschwerden einen Topper drauf gelegt, dieser ist extrem weich und hat leider die Situation kaum verbessert - Alte Ausstattung und Möbel: Waschmaschine alt und rostig, Schlafcouch durch die Jahre runtergekommen und unbequem zu sitzen. Da das Bett unbequem ist hat mein Mann probiert auf der Schlafcouch zu schlafen, diese ist leider durchgesessen und dadurch super unbequem. Würde niemandem empfehlen drauf zu schlafen. - Hunde aus der Wohnungen in der Machbarschaft bellen am Abend, da war abends teilweise laut. Das kann verständlicherweise der Gastgeber nicht beeinflussen.
