Academys Modern Apartments by Athens Urban Retreat

Clean

Check in and out timing

The apartment was very nice and clean with a wonderful position. The host was really very kind and helpful, I will definitely come back.

Small but very clean , near the city center

A bit noisy from the street

The location of the apartment was great. We could walk to the Acropolis and other attractions so that was good. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants around the apartment. He did give great instructions to find the keys and get into the apartment, and it was ready early.

We ended up having to sleep on the sofa bed, as we had our grown up son with us and there was only one bedroom. The sofabed was extremly uncomfortable and we only managed a coulpe of hours sleep each night. The whole apartment was full of mosquitos, so we got bitten really badly and could hear them buzzing around us all night, which was strange as the apartment was on the fifth floor and we didn't open any windows while we were there. The towels provided were white and very thin, and one of them was purple with bleach marks on it. The sofa back cushions weren't on the sofa, which we didn't find until the last day, so very uncomfortable to sit on the sofa. The sofa faces a wall instead of the TV so couldn't sit properly and watch the TV either. Just to be aware it's on the fifth floor with open stairs, and the light in the stairwell didn't work, so be careful with young children/older adults. There is a small lift you can use however.
